New from WI

What's up everyone, new guy here from Milwaukee, WI. I worked as a professional detailer some 14 or so years ago. I spent some time detailing for a car dealership, and then a while detailing at a professional shop. Obviously, a lot has changed since then. A way to pay the bills back then, turned into quite the personal hobby.

I haven't been in a location since I was detailing back in the day where I have the resources to take care of my cars the way I would like. That's changed now, and I plan on catching up with the trade. So I'm going from being someone who knew a little something about detailing to someone who just knows the basics now. Who would have known that there would be so many products available???

I've seen a ton of great information on the site, and hopefully I'll be able to learn a few things from you guys. Now I have just have to get some products to do the job with...I already ordered the Pinnacle Concours wax kit(anyone tried this?).

The only Pinnacle wax that I have used is the Sovereign Wax it is as good as any if you are into wax.
I switched to sealant several years ago it is sooooooo much more durable than wax.

Yeah, I was thinking about reading more into the sealant myself. Maybe you could give me a little more info about the ins and outs of it sometime.

Hey CT3, welcome to The City! There is both a wealth of knowledge on this site as well as a tremendous resource in its members. You won't find many detailing questions that can't be answered by this group. Enjoy your stay.

Their are a lot of good sealants on the market and on this forum you will find that several different brands are recommended.

I use Duragloss 105 it is less costly than the others but it is very durable. They also have a product called Aquawax a lot of people that use other brands of sealant use the AW over the sealant to add durability.

I have no problem going a year with 1 coat of the 105.
