New From Michigan

more towels?

I think I would be covered. I ordered 3 from YoSteve, and I will be ordering a Big Blue towel, a viper towel for glass, and a MF magic towel. And according to David Bynon, the Big Blue is good enough for drying one car my size...that mean I only need remaining towels for glass and interior surfaces. Unless I am missing something I think I have MORE than enough.

For wax removal it can take maybe 3 MFs and if you use more than one product in a day well it could be 6 or more required.

Then you need some for QDing say 4-6 a week.

Then some for interior stuff like dusting, applying leather conditioner, Leather cleaner, Vinyl cleaners, etc.

Some for wheels and tires.

Some for door jams and engine cleaning.

The list goes on. I keep them dedicated for specific tasks so I do not get product contamination. I have them stored in labeled ziplock bags.

You cannot have enough MFs. Try the ones you bought and eventually you will buy more.

Good Luck.

I started out with 3 vipers and soon got 3 more from CMA than 8 from yo-steves and that seem to make me sleep better, they get washed once to twice a week....but see what happens....i have 2 big blues and will get 2 more soon..

Why drop Klasse? It provides a nice shine, and durable protection.

I think to get the maximum effect from Blitz, use Klasse AIO and SG as a bse, then after several coats of SG (with 24 hour between coats, which means apply a coat, let it dry on the paint for 30-60 minutes remove (a slightly damp MF to get residue off then a dry one to do a final buff) then wait 24 hours, then do another coat, I think 3-5 coats is best, then you reach the law of diminishing returns), then do a few coats of Blitz with a week between coats (again takes time for carnauba to harden so the next layer can stick.)

I would stay away from the wash brush if you intend to use it on paint. I would stick with a quality sheepskin mitt or a chenille wash mitt.

For a wheel and tire cleaner, I suggest a gallon of Eimann Fabrik Hi-Intensity. It cleans the wheels well and tires well, also can be used to spot clean carpets.

I would get more foam applicators (paint work), and more terry applicators (leather cleaning.)

Try for 2 big blue drying towels.

Get more Microfiber towels. I have about 5 or 6, and thats about bare minimal, just getting by. I also have 2 or 3 Fieldcrest Charisma cotton towels, and a few 100% cotton Cannon towels.

EF (Eimann Fabrik) Clear Vision is great, 32 oz will last a while. I use it with a terry towel, followed by a buff with a Microfiber towel.

Ef Clear Pearl is also very good with the Blitz.

Everything else looks cool.

What will you use to wash the wheels and scrub the tires?

Its never bad to have extra towels, appicators, and supplies.

Have you considered getting on of the Pinnacle Souveran kits? Blitz is a great wax, lasts 2-3 months, has a nice warm shine, but Souveran is a little better (adds a certain pop or 3-D look to the paint, noticable on dark cars) and is soooooo easy to apply and remove.

Everything else people have said are good too.

Happy Detailing :)
