Am I missing anything here?



I have the plastic buckets. I have a wash mitt, but I want to get a softer one I am sure. And I ordered some MF towels from YoSteve.



500ml Body Work Shampoo



16.9oz All-In-One



16.9 High Gloss Sealant Glaze



15oz Blitz Wax



Sheepskin Wash Mitt



1/2 liter Lexol Leather Cleaner



16oz 303 Aerospace Protectant



16oz Pinnacle Leather Conditioner





So what am I missing if anything?



This is for a Carbon Black (very deep, dark blue) M3.

AAh I typed a long post and it disappeared. Here's a shorter version:

Good list so far, they look like good products to me . . .

Why more leather cleaner than conditioner? You will use conditioner more often IMO.

Have you tried 100% cotton chenille wash mitts? Many/most here like them better than sheepskin.

Are you going to clay the car? I highly recommend claying, but you can get this stuff locally for good prices.

What about polishing? Gotta remove those swirls!

Foam Applicators? Wheel cleaner? Tire dressing? I'm not sure how much stuff you have already.

MF Rocks! You are getting some of the very best so you sound covered there!

For larger quantities of products (Pinnacle, lexol, other) at great pricing try Top Of The Line.

Thanks for the feedback, I added some items and ditched the sheep skin mitt for the chenille. Softer is better, and I would like to try it out.

Here I go again . . . :rolleyes:



You know IHG (Imperial Hand Glaze) is only makeup right? No problem if you plan to use it on top of your final layer of Klasse and put wax over it.



Just making sure you know it is an almost non-abrasive product that won't remove swirls, just fill them in. If you use it before Klasse, AIO will strip away the IHG.



I hear a "ch-ching" off in the distance. :D

Quick note on IHG over Klasse. The high solvent content of IHG can acutally eat away at your layers of Klasse. :down If you are going to put a topper on Klasse, stick with just caranuba.
 
Ok, my thoughts:

If you are using Klasse as a base then the Imperial Hand Glaze is unnecessary, in fact, it will not allow KSG to bond so you should not use it.



P21S Wheel Cleaner is great. I like Einmann Fabrik All Purpose cleaner even better as I find it a better value. I buy it by the gallon.



Get some of the Eagle One Tire Dressing applicators. The curved shaped ones. They are excellent.



Get some quick detailer, too. I suggest Einmann Fabrik Clear Pearl if you are going to use a carnuba topper on the Klasse.

It wont necessarily strip right away but if you are doing this every couple of weeks the detrimental results might be more noticeable.

Rub both mits on your face, 100% cotton chenille mitt and the sheepskin mitt and you will FEEL that the sheepskin is much much more gentle and I know when you wash your car the mitts are wet but I still feel that the sheepskin is the most gentle mitt I have ever used. This is just my opinion.
 
Almost forgot, the sheepskin mitts appear to be high quality from the material to the band and even the way it is stitched. Could not say that about the many cotton, cotton chenille mitts I have used in the past.

hey! i wanted to be the only one with a carbon black m3 on here. :D i'm picking up my cb/black m3 cab next week or the week after. yeah baby!

The reason I have the IHG listed is because it was on this sites newbie walkthrough for getting a killer shine...I might be mistaken though. Some very good points were made, and I will update my list accordingly and list for peoples perusal.



hey ADMAC...sorry man :) but you'll have a cab and I have a coupe, so that's not so bad.
 
Some item notes:



I dropped the AIO simply because this will not be a show car and seems somewhat excessive if I will be applying the Blitz wax to the car...or did I miss the point?



I switched to the Pinnacle Leather Cleaner & Conditioner products instead of the Lexol products.



And I'm trying out the MF wash mitt instead of the chanille.



So if you see any glaring omissions please let me know, I want to place my order asap.
