Yep, just the same as the last few years. I get up eary and start on the car to take it to the Family Easter party, I love to have the fam saying how I wash my cars to much and that I am going to rub the paint off. I Washed the SS Yesterday but It looks like some rain is on its way and it is a 45min drive from here so I wont be taking the chance, we will take the Satty.I washed and added a coat of Z2 and hit it with a Sprits of Z6. She looks great:) Hope you all got in some <span style='color: deeppink'>Easter morning detailing yourself..

<span style='font-size: 12px;'>HAPPY EASTER AUTOPIA!!!!!!!

Didn't get to do much of anything this weekend, especially detailing. It's been raining cats and dogs for the past couple of days. :( Ahh, but at least I get to enjoy watching tremendous beading!

Anyhow, happy holiday weekend everyone!

Ahh it rained this morning but the water now beads on the corolla. Time to use the Wonder Wash QD and clean that car up later today.

Again Happy Easter Autopia

Redcarguy I hear ya. Got home from church and decided to do a little detailing on the show car. Polished my exhaust tips and detailed the engine some. Yesterday was really nice here on the East Coast. I was able to get a coat of IHG and Souveran on.

I have to say it is one of the finest waxes I have every used. :bow

Didn't do any work today... But yesterday... I'd say I worked for about 5 1/2 hours doing a complete detail to someone's car. I'm working on getting pictures of it up. It was a pretty dramatic evolution.

Happy Easter everyone. Well the family just left. Dinner was great. I didn't touch my car this weekend. But tomorrow it's getting a good wash and i'll be trying Souveran for the first time.:D

Bah, humbug! :D I did my car on Thursday and its been perfect weather ever since. I spent my easter playing Max Payne on my PS2 and messin around with some website development. I don't have any family between here and CA or here and CT and since Jennifer had to work I decided to be a bum. I gotta rest up for my B-day tomorrow. :xyxthumbs

naw, the most I did was a couple quick Z6 sessions. After church myself and 4 other f-body cars went on a quick cruise and stopped in a field for pics. I'll post 'em when I get them developed and see if they came out ok.

It's a quiet Easter evening here... it is raining and all foggy outside, so what better thing is there to do then go out into the garage?

I tried out a sample packet of EO WET Tire Shine and QD'd the car. Then I clayed the bumpers and mirrors and added a fresh coat of Souveran to the whole car.

AgghhHHH!!! My mom was here, and she needed to borrow my car to go to the supermarket. And it was just detailed! And its still raining and the roads are dirty...

IT HURTS!!! I know its just therapy and a car, but still... :(

Time to break out the carwash stuff and wash it down in the garage when she gets back :p :D

but you know what they say: too bad, :sosad

My wife is that way about cleaning. "What?! I just washed that plate!! You are going to WHAT?? Eat on it?!! NOOOOOOOO!!!" lol

I too got in on some Easter detailing.. My father and I detailed extensively his bimmer.. thanks to all the replies, and everything it got done real nice.. but, its not completely done yet.

here's the procedure and what was used..

1. Washed the car with Dawn using 2 bucket method(new to me)

2. Cleaned tires and wheels with EF Hi-Intensity

3. Washed using Pinnacle Body Work

4. Clayed car using Mother's Clay, and Final Inspection as lube

5. Washed using dawn

6. SMR'd the whole car using white pad, and removing residue with Viper MF towel

6. Applied 2 layers of SG today.. will follow up with 2 more layers tomorrow

7. cleaned leather with Lexol leather cleaner, and conditioned it with Turtle Wax Emerald Series Leather Conditioner

8. Used Meguiars Endurance Tire Gel on tires

9. Used 303 protectant for rubber in front and back

10. Used Armor-All Detailers Choice [clear liquid] (yes.. yes.. i know.. but my father swears by it)

tomorrow i will be applying 2 more coats SG on paint, 1 coat on wheels, and a coat of #26 on paint.

That concludes my weekend project. Although i dont have a digital camera, i will however take some pictures, and scan them.

I clay'd my car with my brother and my father came out yelling at my brother to get in the house and starting yelling at me because I wasn't inside with the family but I was outside cleaning a stupid car that was already clean and didn't even need to be touched.... he was really made, I didn't think he wanted me around for this first half of the day until he calmed down hahahahaha

He just doesn't understand I guess.... then again I think I should spend time with the family, ever since I got my car they only see me when I over there to clean it with the nice ocean breeze that dries the car within minutes of me rinsing it since the breeze is so perfect. I love washing my car over there. The breeze even gets the water out of the cracks of the panels faster than normal. The wax dries alot faster and is ready for removal much faster than expected.

I want to get a house next to the ocean for the smell of the water and for the breeze to detail my car! :bounce (spend 250,00.00 on a house in a location to detail my car easier hahaha)

hey hows it goin everyone! new here from california, been doing what the company i work for calls """detailing"""..since then ive been looking to sharpen my skills so i stumbled across this forum and thought i'd give it a shot! to start off i had a quick question, what are some opinions on the 3M perfect-it 3 stage system? this is how we use it, 06086 compound with wool pad,06065 machine polish, with yellow foam pad,06068 ultrafine machine polish, black soft foam polishing pad.

my thought on it are-
the compound works well, great with wetsanding scratches, headlights..removes all wetsand parks after a couple passes.
con- compound sticks once n a while, mostly on black hondas ive noticed year reange (2000-2005) and newer subaru's

the machine polish-
removes all scratches from the wool pad and leaves a ok shine.

the ultrafine polish-
excllent at removing swirls and bring up a great shine!

what does everyone else think about these compounds/polishes that has used them? anything else i should know?

thanks everyone!
