New Ford Raptor, hate these things!

This previous client recently purchased this very nice truck and wanted to start off with the best, Modesta. I’ve done a couple of these and they just have so many stickers and plastic trim to work around! I must have used 10 miles of tape! One interesting thing was the top surfaces were much easier to correct than the sides? Correction on top , including the hazy hood stickers, was done with Griot’s correction cream on a white fast correcting foam pad. Sides with Griot’s fast correction cream on a microfiber pad. Refining done with Griot’s perfecting cream on a yellow perfecting pad. Finished with Modesta Primer on a black finishing pad. Paint coated with BC08, all that plastic trim coated with Modesta EPC, wheels with Griot’s Best of Show spray wax, tires with Griot’s black satin. Door pillars done with Griot’s finishing Sealant on both a white fast correction foam pad and a black finishing pad using the Griot’s 3 inch system on the GG6. I apologize for not getting any pictures of the paint, but the pillars indicate the condition of the paint. Thank you for looking!

Just a suggestion for your pics:
Next time a Raptor come in for detailing, could you post a picture of all the painter`s tape that you apply to this truck? It`s more a question of curiosity, since you did mention that you used what seems like 10 miles worth of tape.

As usual, nice work, Mike!! Your "Maryland Merlin" pictures are looking more like "Wisconsin Merlin" shots with the snow on the ground!

Two questions (again more of curiosity):
1) How long time wise does it take to do a truck exterior like this, including taping?
2) How do you apply/treat plastic protectant to an upper and lower egg-crate grill?
(No, I do not have a air brush or aerosol can to apply a plastic trim protectant. I do a VERY tedious application of plastic protectant to the openings with Q-tips.)

Thank you! I had about 8 hours in the wash, Decon and correction. As far as the egg crate grill, foam swabs, a plastic trim tool with a microfiber towel, and barbecue spears as needed. And yes, it is a pain!

Barbeque spears??? That would make for an "interesting" picture.
Since you use and like Griot`s Garage products and equipment, have you ever thought about buying and using their Detailing Stick System with its microfiber socks?

I have not used one, I honestly forget to order one when we re stock! The spears work great for removing residue from both deca and PPF edges without scratching.
