Here's my quick review...
I was detailing a 2011 Toyota Camry in black (some of the softest clear I've dealt with). This car was badly neglected and seemed to not have any wax or protection on the paint (this might have impacted the performance). I mixed 1.5 ounces of Duragloss 931 "Rinseless Wash with Aquawax" into about 3 gallons of warm water in a bucket with a grit guard. I was using a microfiber mit to wash with and 530g microfiber towels to dry.
I use ONR very regularly (the only way I wash my DD and use it for most other washes) so I had a pretty good baseline to compare it against.
With the first pass I can tell right away that this product has more lubricity than ONR. You can just tell that it glides over the paint smoother than ONR. This was very encouraging especially since I was washing a car with ultra soft clear and black paint. I didn't happen to use it for clay lube (already had some clay lube mixed up in my spray bottle) but I have a feeling that this will be my new go to solution for clay lube. The lubricity was top notch!
The second thing that struck me was the cleaning power. As I used it on the bumper that still had some North Carolina summer bugs guts on it, I was impressed how well it broke down some tough stains that would normally call for a couple shots of some stronger cleaners. I would say that DG 931 certainly outperforms ONR in this area as well at least in my first impression.
Now for the negative. I have to put a disclaimer on this point though. I suspect that this characteristic had a lot to do with the fact that this car had almost zero wax/sealant on it. In my experience with ONR, cars with little or no LSP on it make it hard to dry the panel after using ONR. With ONR, it was more along the lines of just needing a dryer/new towel or a couple extra wipes to get it dry and streak free. With DG 931 it was much more prominent. Like I said, this car had virtually no LSP on it (water would just stand flat across the surface) and wiping off the panel after washing it with DG 931 was a chore. It was almost like wiping oil off of it.
I plan on washing my DD this week with this which wears multiple coats of every wax that comes into my hands so it should give a clearer picture of what this product should perform like in a more typical use case (imho, rinseless washes are for well maintained cars with good protection on that paint).
So my results are not conclusive yet, but as of now, I would say this product is an absolute winner. Enough for me to contact Duragloss and see if I can go pick up some of this product in 5 gallon containers. It is really that good!
