New detailing pics v.the rattlesnakes!

First things first though.



Meguiars #16 beading. Applied on one hood 3 days before the rain, 6 weeks prior on the other hood (pics taken 30 seconds apart). Which is which? ;)

Now on to the snakes and the F-350 they were in the bed of. As you can see, the rattlesnakes are diamondbacks.

And let's not forget the F-350. I used Grojet2000 and Meguiars #16. It poured about 10 minutes after I took the pics, so I grabbed some lunch, came back, blew off most of the water, dried it with a waffle weave and finished the interior.

2003 BMW X5. Regular customer. Last waxed with the Klasse twins in late November. Still was beading lightly and had some slickness. Used the Wolfgang twins this time.

2004 VW Jetta (or is that a Passat? I can't tell). Again, I used the Wolfgang twins. Noticable improvement even on a new car.

Here is an oldie but goodie. 1993 Mercedes 300TE. Full detail on this one, pretty easy since it is obviously well maintained. Wolfgang twins.

Here is the famous blue Acura TL. ;) He has moved into a house, so no buildings to reflect off the paint like at his apartment complex. Still looks very nice though. Last waxed with VM/CMW on Septemer 13 of last year. Paint was still beading, optics were excellent and had very good slickness. The owner washes it at the nearby coin-op car wash twice a week and towel dries. Seems that combo is more durable than I thought. I used the Wolfgang twins this time to see how it compares.

How are you liking the WG since you have been using it more and more? Have you topped it with #16 yet? Let me know.

Andrew-in my autopia gallery is a blue BMW 330 sport that I used the WG twins on then topped with #16. Take a look, I think you will agree it is an outstanding combination.

That is one of the most liquid, wet and reflective finishes that I have ever seen on any car! :xyxthumbs



You have convinced me - I will give the WG twins a try asap!

Eric-thanks, that is what I thought. Pretty nice little car and the TDI engine is much stronger in 1st gear than I expected. Tons of bottom end torque!
 
Outstanding pics, and that 330 looks like PURE LIQUID :shocked !!!! Holy smokes, do your customers realize that they have a friggin god working on their cars? I hope so...

Good job on the cars. WG looks like a winner. I hope durability is up to par.



The beading on your car and the blue car is exactly how my expedition was beading with SFP/VM/CMW combo (if you remember my beading thread). So I guess that is normal? :nixweiss I can only compare it to Zaino (no, i'm not a zaino nazi) since that product was my only prior experience. Zaino moves and rolls the water like mercury. After a rainstorm, big drops would roll into other drops sort of like the T1000 in Terminator 2 and create a puddle which would roll down the car. VM/CMW seems to bead the water and hold it there.



I guess that's the difference between synthetic and natural based products when it comes to beading water.

I'm guessing that the beading of the #16 in the first post is six weeks ago on your car and three days prior on the dark hood. I am totally basing that conclusion on the fact that "the shoemaker's children are always barefoot"...in other words detailers are so busy cleaning everyone else's vehicles that their own rides get neglected (I know my truck is NASTY with all this pollen).:D

That Acura is absolutely beautiful. I would want that year, color and model. By any chance do you know if the owner had the rims chrome plated or is that an option. Thats one of the very few rims like that i've seen on a TL, and I see lots of TLs in my area.

Actually, you have it backwards. I had applied a coat of #16 to my car that Sunday and took the pics on Wednesday of that week. It had been 6 weeks to the day that I had used it on the black Silverado SS.



If you right click on each picture and select 'properties' you will see....suprised no one did that! :p
 
Scott, incredible work as always!!! Your WG pictures convinced me to buy some. I ordered the kit along with some souvern. I'm hoping it brings out my green paint better than the the k twins.
