New CRX

Weight is the enemy.
I just bought a 1989 Honda CRX Si. It's got a kit, and it's in primer right now. How much do you guys think it would be to get a halfway decent paint job? Thankfully, there's no rust, so there would be no bodyshop work needed. About what does that run?

Wassup DUBLIN ;) - (i used to live there right behind the tuttle crossing mall)

Are you talking a full body repaint? I would gestimate anywhere from 1000 to 2000 for a good paint job.

And make sure they do it right as in take off your kit and bumpers and paint stuff like that seperate. Too many guys do paint like WCC on "Pimp My Ride" and they paint the car with the kit already installed.

Thanks for the tips. 2 grand is for a good professional job, right? I might be able to get a little off, one of my good friend's dad's owns True to Form, it's one of the bigger body shops around here.

Only going by personal experience - I had to have my hood, roof and trunk repainted as well as the blending on the rest and that was about 1000 - but if you got a friend in the biz then you should beable to get by with 1500?? maybe??

represent the two hundred dollar maaco job!!!

But seriously. When we got my car dentwizard was doing a little hail damage removal for me, and not only did they neglect to get all of it out, but they managed to wreck my car as well. The bodyshop they took it to didnt even match reds, so i now have a two tone red civic....

at least it shines?
