New combo's for car shows....

I'm looking for a new combo to try on my car since I'll be doing a bunch of shows this year. I have an '04 Infiniti G35 coupe in Diamond Graphite. I love Zaino and have been very happy with it's look and thrilled with its durability but it's been a while and I'd be down for trying something new. Usually what I use is Z2 x 2 and I'll top it with P21s. I'll let it sit and then wipe the car down with Z8. The car looks extremely wet and slick but again, it would be fun to try something new. Since I'm still fairly new to detailing, I'm hoping for some suggestions from people that have detailed this color before or have thoughts on what would make it pop even more for car show. Thanks!

I would say on that particular color, the combo you're using is gonna be one of the best. However, if you wanted to try a something different you could use a different sealant such as OS or the new Ultima line. You could then top that with something like Souveran. I'm not sure how paste Souveran would look on grey, so I would probably try liquid Souveran.



The pics I've seen of Ultima have quite a bit of depth for some unknown reason, so if you choose Ultima, let it sit with just the sealant for awhile before topping. There is a nice package deal on the Ultima line now too BTW.



Car looks great though. As a general rule, I don't fix things that aren't broken. JMO

You want wetness?



Wetness is provided by oils and give that deep water look.



Meguiars #7 show car glaze, Menzerna finishing glaze or 3M hand glaze. Topped with Souveran wax or say Poorboys natty blue if ur cheap.



This would beat your current setup hands down in wetness.



If you want metallic shiny look to the paint then i would stick with Zaino Z2.



Z8 is fairly wet though.

Thanks. I was kinda thinking about the whole if it's not broke don't fix it thing too but I'm looking at it like food. I can have one thing that I REALLY LOVE all the time, but unless I try something else once in a while I'll never have the opportunity to find something better. Or it will just reassure me that what I already have is perfect for me.
 
I think the car looks great as is! I dont really see you improving much on what you already have without tradeoffs.

Ultima all the way - 3 coats uf Ultima PGP, 12 hours apart each, then topped with Z8 will give you amazing depth and wetness. You can also top it with Clearkote Carnauba Moose Wax.

good prep+ glaze + nuba + glaze =show car prep



so for me that is Danase swirl abolishers then pink moose then Natty's blue then RMG



in the spring I want to get some Danase wet glaze and see how that looks on top

I second this, if your looking for show stopping gloss, your gonna have to sacrifice durability (maybe) by using a glaze as a LSP, IMO.



Danase Wet Glaze hands down or RMG. For that light color, you may want to try 1000P alternating with coats of DWG, ending with DWG.



Or throw some DWG on top of the Zaino, just dont hit it with the Z8, or else your back to normal.
 
As I keep the same, Men. PO85RD, RMG, Pin Souveran or Zymol Vintage, The day before show Meg. #7 or #81.
