2 new attempts in making it better...

I almost feel as though the gradients in the background are what is holding the card back from being awesome. I PERSONALLY don't like gradients like that, and while it is just my personal opinion, I think you would be better off with either a solid color or a different STYLE of gradient.... not the basic every-day sorts of gradient.

Along with the Megs #26, I threw in one of my cards just for the hell of it. I already have plans on how to make it different/better when it comes time to order new ones, but I've still got probably 900 or so of these left before that time comes, LOL:grinno:

Yea I think you're right... I think what's holding it back even more than the gradient being "basic" is the 2 split gradients which worked fine for the original idea I had... idk I'll mess around with the background now since I can't figure out which layout I like best

Thanks for the help

If I had something like a Honda that I wanted to have someone detail, your card wouldn't get my service. But then again, maybe your target market is the 50k+ crowd.

On the Porsche close ups...the car feels unbalanceds and to me, needs to be rotated counter clockwise....also get that headlight out of the center area, it draws too much attention.

I understand, especially about the headlight in the center... what do you think of the new one... (the background photos will be replaced with something else so they're not repetitive... another couple cars and 1 of my working on a car... maybe many smaller photos to create an almost invisible grid in the background, but big enough to show what's happening in it...

anyway, here is the first try for this...

The back would contain a similar background and maybe a larger picture on the side, then text explaining some services, etc...

I have NO experience in business so you may or may not take my post seriously

The porsche seems quite big for the card..

Also the BMW in the back, maybe make it one big picture and not blocks of different images.

I don't know, throwing out opinions I guess.

Good luck on your final choice tho!:hifive:

The problem of those last bunch is down at the bottom, the black text is "invisible" because of the black car........

I like the whole thing with you wanting to use the porsche, thats an actual picture of a car you detailed if i'm not mistaken, which is great, but its just gonna be hard to incorperate it into the design without it seeming either out of place or having the text be difficult to read......

I'm all for filling the whole card with color, thats the way my cards are and I like the way it looks, but maybe if you sacrifice any sort of background color or image and position the porsche right, you could have your info in just an all white area and the porsche filling in the rest of the space?

Yea I actually wanted to Porsche to be somewhat transparent (more than it is currently) but less transparent than the background pics... I wanted to background pics to read clear enough but still provide a somewhat white background

Glad to hear!

What if (now this again is just something I'm throwing out there for ya...) you were to make the background pics almost completly transparent, and lower the porsche's transperancy (or raise, however you wanna look at it) to where the background currently is? it'll be real light, but you'll still kinda be able to see the car in the wayyy background..... enough to fill in the space and people will still know its a car, and that way the porsche can stick out but not be overpowering....

I wish I had photoshop on this computer, I love this sorta stuff and I'd be more than happy to throw some of my own ideas up on here for ya....
