[Re the Neon SRT-4]...not for me. the quality is not there imho

Yeah, I wanted to buy one of those when I got rid of the WRX, seemed like a no-brainer choice. Even had all my upgrades sourced and priced. But after checking one out in person I decided to pass. All of matter of what does/doesn't get it for *you* but it sure didn't do it for me. And a hyper-turboed, cheapie fwd car wouldn't be my cup of tea anyhow.

I would go with the subaru sti (I own a baja) It's set up to go fast.......And you can still mod it after the fact.. and they have a great all wheel drive.. Audi is good but i think this is better and i have driven both because my freind has an A-4 That has Kick but not like the Sti I drive...Fast fast Fast

According to Motor Trend, the R32 hits 60 in 5.9 seconds and runs a 14.2 @ 97.6 mph 1/4 mile. Hardly what I would call a pig.

Honestly, I'd go with the Accord coupe with the V6 and 6 speed.

Oooh I forgot about the Accord coupe :) I wish they came with an LSD though :(

The R32 isn't slow straight line (well arguably it comparing to the EVO and STi), it's just heavy. I drove one and it was annoying, I had issues with a car being that small and feeling like a LTD.

If I was looking at the R32 I'd look into the mini cooper S. :)

In the last couple of days I saw 3 S4s. One brand new (today) and 2 previous generations. One was Jazz blue I think that is the color name (my very favorite color) and a silver one.

I'd definately go with an S4 over the subaru. I mean be realistic - how fast are you going to drive on public roads? The S4 is in a fery different class. How about getting an A3? They should be here soon!

Another thing that comes to mind is the difference between Subaru and Audi awd. I dunno if they're still using the same system on the STi (I know it's adjustable but not much more about it), but both our Subarus were definitely inferior to the Audis in bad-weather traction. That's with both vehicles equipped with Blizzaks, in one case they even had the exact same size. The Audis would just drive away from the Subies and when it came to actually *driving* (cornering, stopping, etc.) it was no contest. Yeah, the Subarus were better than something with fwd, but the Quattro was in another class. The Quattro seemed much better at getting the power to (only) the wheel(s) that had grip and more composed when *none* of them had any traction. The Auids are *fun* in the snow, the Subarus were just sorta OK.

Yeah, Audi always makes us wait for the good stuff and then often discontinues it soon thereafter. Seems the only fun car they're really interested in marketing here is the S4 :(

i heard april maybe a few in early march and thats from the guy i know at audi, he said they wetre tellihng people later then that thought incase they didn't get em in right away!

Yea but wen i talked to him they said that audi didn't even set a base price for em, and your right i'm not in a hurry at all so i will most likely wait till then, i wasn't planning on getting one till around then or later anyway so it's all good!
