Hello all,

I'm new here so bare with me, i'm still taking notes and doing lots of reading and such.

I have purchased a few items already such as water blade, chamois, absorber, maguires gold carwash, viking mf, 100% cotton towels to start off with.

I've read some posts on waterblade and chamois and has its pros and cons.

after reading posts on chamois and waterblades, i think i'll stick to using lots of mf for drying up the truck after every wash.

What would you use to maintain the paint finish on this truck?

I'm sure each detailer out there has its own success story.

Which stuff would you recommend from autozone to keep my truck nice and shiny?

please advise. I just get so confused with so much products out there. Zaino looks promising but i'll have to read thru the site for now. I do love detailing my new truck and would not mind so every weekend.

Thanks for your patience

Skip the chamois and use the absorber. Its much better. If you really like microfiber then you should get one of the waffel weave towels to do your drying with. I haven't used my Absorber for anything except drying my engine bay since I disovered waffel weave micorfiber. www.properautocare.com has some great ones. Check out the Big Blue Towel. Its a forum favorite.

i did consider the big blue towel; however, its unavailable at the moment; delayed due to the west coast port strike.

bummer. :(

Very hard to recommend products to use for your paint....

You need to evaluate paint to see what needs to be done for prep work then decide on a protection plan....wax or polymer....

Have you read the E-book yet from the store page? It will give you more knwledge so you can be an informed consumer.

Good Luck
