New Autopia Swag Giveaway!

Former detailer for wholesaler (70`s)... now weekend enthusiast
Like the more colorful, simpler, and cleaner look.
Would love to see more "Free Shipping or BOGO" offers.
Guess I have become a Bead Maker "fanboy"

Are you a professional detailer or like to detail for fun?-- Just a weekender, and due to the appearance of my vehicles, an advisor to many.

What do you like best about the new Autopia look or about Autopia in general? --- Same store, but looks fresh and updated

What would you like to see us improve on Autopia site or forum? -- Better description of microfiber towels. Even though plushness and blend are mentioned in the "Comparing Microfiber Towels" tutorial, that information is not included in many of the individual towel descriptions. Many of the other sources list GSM, blend and single plush or dual-pile as the first portion of a standardized description, followed by the text.

Tell me what is your favorite detailing product of all time?-- Rinseless wash products. Probably the single largest contributor to efficiency in my efforts.

Thanks for the giveaway offer, as well as the solicitation for site feedback.

Thanks atgonzales! Just to clarify on #3, Autopia is an open forum where you can discuss all brands of detailing products. We do prohibit direct links to other detailing stores and we monitor the forums very carefully for spam/shilling activity. That being said, in the context of our members discussing and giving unbiased reviews of products, you`re welcome to it. You do not have to limit product conversations to brands that are available from our sponsors. :)

I do have members ocasionally get upset at me for removing links. I do not want to torpedo a thread and there is never any offense intended. I’d much rather have the discussion on the board. I will often times try to remove the link while leaving a notice, put a pic of the product and a brief description in the thread and change the wording just enough to leave the thread viable.

Sometimes I’ll remove the link and leave a notice in the post with the hope that the original poster will modify his first post. I usually try to leave a remark in these threads to remind people when they’re linking to a commercial site that isn’t PBMG sponsored. If it’s a thread that I catch early (as in there is only the original post). I’ll just ask the OP to repost the thread following Autopia’s rules.

There are those occasions where there are multiple posts as follow ups in response to the original. Some of these are tough to leave up because the OP has been quoted many times where the link and comments related to the links end up in the quotes. When they hit that state it’s becomes a thread that’s either hard to follow or simply doesn’t make sense when corrected. When these happen we’ll close that thead. I always try to PM the OP to let them know where their thread has gone and why.

I just hope the OP respects the rules after you going through all of that.
In almost every instance. This forum has an unusually great collection of forum members. I frequent a few/car truck forums, I don’t know any that really compare to this group. Our members simply respect other members and the forum rules.

Thanks for all that you do to help keep it that way. :yourrock
