New A4 in metallic grey. Need need LSP suggestions

I have been looking at a second car, and it may be the A4/RS4, it would be in metallic grey, yeah I love the color. Plan on 106FF and DWG after. What would you suggest to top it with to make the color POP/SPARKLE?

I recently used Optimum Poliseal/OCW on my metallic grey and it really made the flake pop in the sun.
 
Well theres a HUGE price difference in an A4/RS4...what about an S5? Anyway, good choice on the Audi though!



My vote is still for DWG...love it!

Yeah, drove the A4 then the RS, then fell in love. the S5 is not my cup of tea, but nivce inside. The products I will be using is more for durability then show. Really looking to protect the paint.

106FF white LLC CSS

DWG

IPA wipedown

845 White LLC CSS or UPGP hand apply?



Need some assistance if I should go Carnuba or Sealant, and what would be best and why?
 
Do your IPA wipedown after your polishing and before your glaze/sealant/wax. Personally, I seem to change my LSP combos all the time. Sometimes I just do a sealant, wax, or sealant topped with wax.



I'm pretty much still in the experimenting phase with all my LSPs since I have so many different possible combinations.
 
I'm fairly inclined to suggest not to even bother with the 106ff/white pad combo on the Audi clear, unless you're just looking to get surface contamination off and the absolute lightest scratches out. Typically, SIP/Orange is required to even make any sort of difference in the Audi clear.



Also, you don't want to use a polishing pad with 845 or any wax/sealant for that matter. You want to use a red/blue pad with zero cut.
 
Shoot, sorry. I meant a blue pad for the 845, thanks for the advice. So 106ff would not be a good idea as a polish to get rid of scratches if applied quarterly? Or should I step to SIP?
 
Well, I don't want to make a blanket statement, but *usually* a lighter polish like 106ff won't do anything for a hard clear like Audi/VW/MB/etc. If it is going to even make a dent, you would normally need to use an orange pad with that, or step it up to SIP with an orange. Again, all depends on the application, but this is how it usually goes.
 
Ha, I don't believe so. I know SIP has a killer price tag, but I personally think it's worth every penny once you get used to using it.
 
So SIP would be better on VW and Audi Clearcoats then 106FF? Do not want to cut more clear then I have to, it will be a new car. I have read they are quite hard clears?
 
Well, the methodology is to always try the least abrasive first (106ff) and if that doesn't work, then move up in abrasion level (SIP). This would mean you would have to buy both and try them. I have no idea of the condition of the paint but even new cars can require an intensive polish like SIP, depending on how the dealer "took care" of it.
 
Screw it! I will just get both, cant hurt to have them. Will just get double order of white and orange LCC CSS pads!
