Never underestimate the size of a Lincoln Navigator.

Luster, great job! Do you use an extractor or just a wet vac?

I usually just spray the carpet with Woolite Heavy Traffic Carpet Foam, scrub with a carpet brush... rinse with water, soak up with some old bath towels, brush and air dry.

I'm kinda old-school that way.;)

(Extractor would make my life easier huh?):D

Yeah, im a bit ole fashioned, I dont have an extractor either.

I do carpets by hand then follow up with a shop vac.

That method has always worked for me. It is hard work, but I don't do that many trashed carpets. Maybe if I was doing this full time, I'd invest in one.

BTW... I HATE doing interiors!

I'm with you Bill, in that I hate interiors! I have a regular customer with a huge Black Expedition and 3 kids (and a dog). I do her interior once a month and you wouldn't believe how filthy that thing gets in that short amount of time. I need to post up some pics of just the rear seat anchors!!!!

One child still likes to throw his bottle. If he was my kid he would do it ONCE! But that's beside the point. Every single time I do this truck I say to myself that's it, just exteriors from now on. It's a monster and sometimes it takes a good 2 to 3 hours JUST FOR THE INTERIOR.

The end result is like the results you've posted here and the customer is amazed as I'm sure your's was as well. Beautiful work and I remember when this was first posted back in the summer. When we get done with these it is a good feeling and then it's reinforced by the customer's reaction. Oh well, I guess I'll keep doing them!

Nice work, my friend.

Thanks Puckman... I tried to convince this lady to bring her vehicle back to me once a month and it would be a lot cheaper for her, and she would always have a nice clean car to drive..... Hasn't happened yet! :banghead: (Busy life!):cornut:

Bill,

Very nice work. That thing was disgusting:scared: I am constantly amazed at how people can spend that much money on a car, and let it get to that point. Take a little pride in ownership!Director

One good thing about having a customer who lets her ride get to that point, is that you know you will have repeat business. It is hard to teach an old dog new tricks:wizard:

Oh yes... I'll see that car again. But not for a year!!!! I detailed that Nav in July and I'm sure it's completely trashed by now. Give it another 6-7 months of trashing and it will be ready again.

I don't know if you saw RockyMountainDetail's post, but he said that's "Typical" of the vehicles he works on!!!!! Yuck!!!:banghead:
