So I think I've finally narrowed it down to three contenders, vote which you think and why? The car of application, 2006 Volvo S60R. Electric Titanium Silver.

1. 22ple VX1 Pro Glass - Probably the most gloss/depth out of any.
2. Car-Pro CQuartz Finest - The most scratch resistant in terms of durability.
3. Polish Angel Cosmic 9H - Promises the best overall as well as best longevity.

I have CQ Finest and UK, and DP paint coating....

But haven't used either yet. In about 10 min I'm gonna do a test on a bike with DP Paint Coating.

IMHO Polish Angel is a "latest and greatest" item that's getting a lot of hype, so I'd sorta wait and let the masses determine how good it really is. Others are sorta road tested as it were

I thought Finest was like Opti Coat Pro in the sense that you had to be authorized by CarPro in order to get it. If your an authorized Finest installer, the choice is clear.Personally I'm about to jump on the GTechniq bandwagon. I recently detailed a car that had been coated with EXO, and I was blown away.

Thats the thing, from I've been reading ALOT of UK an european detailers have been using 9h, apparently it's very well proven. It's not that popular in the states because it just came over. I saw a rolls royce done in 9H and I was blown away (Keep in mind I'll be finishing down even better than the rolls was).

Honestly, I hate to think about all the $$$$$$ I have wasted on the latest and greatest that has been on uk boards (including intl shipping)

Just tried DP paint coating.

Looks real good. Can't tell ya anymore that that at this point except it's easy to use

22ple for me. I have a thread on here where i put it on my cadillac ats. It was pretty easy on and off. I got the 30 ml bottle and it was enough to do two coats with a little left over for my wheels.

CarPro CQ Finest

As a CQ user and CarPro fan I have to vote for Finest. The overall look should really come from the prep. I think the only way to really see a difference would be to use them all on the same panels side-by-side.

22ple seems very similar to CQ original IMO. From my research most of these "glass coatings" that come in the little glass bottle with the dropper are all manufactured by the same place that has a few options to choose from.

Polish Angel Cosmic 9H has captured my attention. I have talked with Travis a little about it but I can't get past the cost. I really want to do some testing on it since it is not really here in the states yet.

It seems like the newest option is Modesta. I am hearing a lot about it an that it is possibly the new king. But it could also be all hype.

Well cost would be a factor but this is for my personal car so only the best :D

As far as for my clients probably CQ finest being the scratch resistance is just awesome.

I will check out modesta though, before I pull the trigger.

I am a huge fan of CarPro and would love to try Finest, but hate the whole authorized dealer thing. I am in the middle of trying out 22ple trim restorer coating and their metal coating on my exhaust tips. I didn't go 22ple on the paint because I don't like having to throw away perfectly good microfiber towels. If you can get Finest go for it!

Why is the most popular coating not on your list?

Because I base my decisions on my own personal preferences (Which are partially based on feedback). Just because somethings popular doesn't make it the best, it could just be the best value.

I have no desire to use opticoat, especially since I'm not certified by them. The only company I'm currently considering to take the next step with is carpro. + I appreciate my customers to the fullest, but ensuring something for the life of the car? No, thanks some liability is just too much.

Well if you take the plunge and become authorized with CarPro I'd love to buy some Finest off of you :) . Just throwing that out there lol.

A bit late to the conversation but anyway...

A few notes on the Cosmic, it is very unlike any other coating on the market. It does not come as a liquid in a glass bottle. It is essentially a cream & is much much easier to apply than the liquid coatings. If you have ever used the Esoteric wax, you know the ease-of-use I am talking about. Apply to the entire car wait 30 minutes (or more) and remove residue effortlessly. I have even found that residue can be removed a day after application. Cosmic can be applied by itself or, to achieve 9H, use the 9H Primer prior to application as a final polish. (no need for any panel wipe or IPA) IMO Cosmic has a much better appearance than other coatings with both cold hard tones and warm tones. It can even be ordered to match a specific color code.

50ml of Cosmic + 50ml of Primer costs $100.85 Shipped.
22ple VX1 Pro 50ml is $135 before shipping

Cosmic has been around in Europe for quite some time & is well proven there.

While a lot of people may say this photo is just a product of good camera work, I saw this car last weekend and it looked just as it does in the photograph, I was thoroughly impressed with how it was holding up at the two month mark & will continue to monitor it.

THANKYOU x10

This is the deal breaker for me. I will be ordering some in the up coming weeks, I'll do a full step by step for you guys who are interested.

That was just incorrect info being posted by a certain retailer. Shyan himself has said towels can be reused if they are cleaned right away, same goes for most coatings. Have a bucket ready with water and micro-restore or some APC in it and you're good to go.

OP. My vote is CQuartz Finest. Side by side on a black test panel it looked better than 22ple IMO and it sheets away water better, and it was more scratch resistant in my testing.

No need to throw away towels with Cosmic either. Beading & sheeting increase with each coat, needing only 2 hours between coats. I typically apply at least 2. Recommended to be left indoors 24 hours after application.

Wish I could try Finest but there is another installer too close to me, I've heard nothing but good things about it.

Another popular thing to do with Cosmic is to apply it over another coating like 22ple, Cquartz or the like as it has an extremely slick feel and can enhance the appearance of those coatings.

I will be sending you a message as requested.

I have a few product I am interested in and have questions on. Maybe you could answer them on here in the future as well. Especially if I do a Q&A.
