Need tips for carpets!

I've been having a string of bad luck lately with carpets. The last few cars I've detailed all had either light gray, or beige carpet that were pretty filthy. My normal procedure is to spot clean spots with either Chemspec spot lifter or Lifter 1 spot cleaner. I then use a stiff bristle brush. Then I will use foaming carpet cleaner and lightly pre-treat the rest of the carpet and use my Versa-Tool with brushes to thouroughly scrup the carpets. Here is where my problem is: I can usually break up the soil with by brushing, but when I use my Bissell with hot water - I can't seem to lift out all of the soil from the carpet. I don't know if it's because of not using a powerful enough extractor, or if the carpet is just stained and needs replacement or re-staining, or if I just don't know what im doing:o



Any suggestions?
 
It sounds like you have done just about all you can do with carpet shampoo, and stain lifting. I wouldn't worry too much, because not all stains can be removed....that's exactly what I tell my customer's also. Just do the best you can, but make sure you let your customer know before hand if it looks like particular stains may not be able to be removed, and let them know afterwards what stains, spots, etc. you couldn't remove completely.:xyxthumbs
 
Thanks for the advice. It's just disappointing when you can't get the car how you want it to look. Do you know any carpet staining systems that are inexpensive to get into? Ive cheated in the past on personal vehicles by buying vinyl stain in spray cans and a whisk broom, but I don't want to use this method on someone else's car when there is a better alternitive.
 
I would give Folex a shot after your normal carpet cleaning routine. It can lift stains simply by agitating and then blotting dry. Its worked very well for the stains Ive used it on. Sounds like it just might get rid of the stuff the heavy shampooing left behind.
 
Folex is availible in Target or Home Depot. It only recently became availible in the NJ PA area. According to its website, it is availible in Target in IN.
