Need some shopvac help!

Here is my one piece of advise about Sears and Craftsman.

Join the craftsman club. It is Sear's discount program for the weekend warrior. About once per month they send me a flyer with a 10% discount for a one week period on all craftsman tools. Check it out at http://www.craftsman.com. It has saved me a bundle on tools.

I have a Rigid with a 6.5 hp engine. I was wondering if there is a way to use a narrower hose (more like a shopvac hose) with it? I find the hose and attachments to be just too large to really get into tight spots, it can hardly get under my seats.

Home Depot has a RIDGID 5-piece "detailing kit" that they sell for $19.97. It comes with a smaller diameter hose, small crevice tool, small brush, small car nozzle, and a hose adapter. The hose is a lot more flexible than the larger hoses.

I have the little 2 gallon Craftsman 1.5HP one you posted that you figured wouldn't work well. I was concerned too but at $30 I figured what the hell. It works great actually, nice and small and plenty of power. I've vacuumed out some nasty interiors with no problems at all. Only problem, the cord is useless its only about 5-6 feet long, an extension cord is a must (a heavy duty one as the cord is grounded) and that makes it more cumbersome to use.

Don't count it out cuz its small ;)
