need some critics.....

Tell me what you think of the name I came up with for my detailing business and the flier I made (now that I'm going official as a business instead of under-the-table) :wavey

I love the name and the retro graphics (big-time retro lover, here!)

My suggestions would be to only use one graphic at the top, under your company name -- and keep the theme going at the bottom -- don't switch to a modern style graphics (with the cars)

We considered "Happy Car" for a name -- but with a husband with a sense of humor like mine, he came up with "Happy Car Chinese Restaurant!"

Anyway...........we went with "WonderGlo" with a slogan of "Our Details Make the Difference :D

SLD :bow I'd add some colour to the top of the flyer though (not necessarily colouring in the retro pics).

PrinzII :bow Very simple yet professional.

My friend is an absolute Photoshop demon and has done very cool, professional grade logos for his webpage and the company he works at. Goes to show what happens with practice!

It's probably just to block his number so it's not out on the net for some of the freaks that frequent message board to harrass him.

exactly! Plus I dont know who else might be viewing this (guests) and I don't want to hand out my address and phone number to just anybody from anywhere on the web. Atleast with putting them on cars you can kinda tell what type of people you're dealing with. :xythumbs

Prinz - I like that name too...... too bad there's already one of those in town :o so I can't use it.

Also the other name I wanted got taken just 2 weeks ago: "No Buff Too Tuff" :D

yeah I was trying to go retro on the bottom pics but I couldn't find any of high enough quality to match the ones at the top.... I'll have to keep searching.

and thanks everyone for the compliments! (guess being the layout editor for the high school newspaper my senior year helped a bit :xyxthumbs )

I did mine with Corel DRAW! and some clipart I grabbed off the web.

and what does everyone think of this tagline for the bottom: "Happy Cars Auto Detailing: Where a Clean Car is a Happy Car!"

I created mine in Adobe Illustrator.

Font: Nadall

That's just the logo for my shop. I already created the business cards and some signage. :D

Looks great!

Three suggestions:

1) Don't change to contemporary cars at the bottom - stick with your theme. If you're not willing to stick with it then change it to something you can use throughout.

2) Change 'my' to 'our' in the footnote.

3) I don't have any professional detailing experience, but as a consumer I really want to see at least ballpark prices. Personally, if I have to call to get an idea of the pricing you just lost a possible sale. Maybe put a list of 'typical' prices (marked as such) with a 'Call for a free quote'. I think it establishes more trust - when I don't see prices I assume the prices are outrageous and move on to the next vendor who's willing to lay his cards on the table.

Lookin' good!

Shiny,

I really like the flyer. I am a big fan of the "retro" look when it comes to most things dealing with cars. I actually have some old Rolls-Royce and Ford dealer signs hanging in my garage. Your flyer gets a big :up from me.
