Need simple leather cleaner/conditioner for steering wheel

Heh heh, fair warning...I tend to go off on "why are you using 303?!?, I never liked it and blah blah blah" rants now and then :o

SO...given the above...maybe don`t assume the McKee`s Interior stuff is all that similar to the 303 ;)

At least as far as the product description/claims it seemed similar. I`m genuinely interested in what makes the two products different. I have felt good about the results with 303 but as with most people here, I`m always searching for the next thing to try ;) I`m a little concerned about the banana scent!

Eh, they make a big deal outta their UV protection and if that`s a (genuine, valid) concern then OK..but for stuff like plastic/rubber trim I don`t go for that Slime Approach on anything but tires (and I can understand others who use Coatings on those, just afraid I`d botch it up or do damage or something.. not broken = don`t fix).

303 isn`t slimy to me, it ends up dry to the touch with a hint of shine. Not like AA slimy.

That said I don`t use it on leather.

Put me in the camp that likes 303. I’ve been using it for years and haven’t found anything that works as well on rubber and interior plastics. I use their cleaner then follow up with the protectant and it works well. 303 Fabric Protectant is unbeatable for fabric convertible tops. Much better than that Rag Top stuff, ugh.

Two things I don`t like about ragg top. One I hate the aerosol delivery. Two it just doesn`t seem to be nearly as hydrophobic. 303 fabric protectant is awesome stuff. I`ve been happy with the convertible top cleaner too.

I`ve never tried the 303 apc cleaner though.

In my limited use, it`s worked well. On a pretty trashed interior it cleaned up some vinyl armrests and etc. that were gross. On a fabric seat it took out a grease stain completely. The important thing on the fabric is to spray it on, agitate it with a brush, then use a damp towel to wipe/lift the stain.

Other cleaners may be cheaper or just as effective but I can say that it`s worked well in my limited use.

Note that I use the term "Slime Approach" for any such products whether they`re *really* slimy or not :o E.g., "Gotta slime the tires then I`m done.."

No, no...I didn`t mean it the way it came across..303 isn`t nasty-slimy, but it`s *not* the same as a Rubber/trim sealant and IME it *can* run in the rain, or at least be compromised by it.
