I can't add anything to the excellent advice you've already gotten, I just had to say...

BEAUTIFUL CAR, MAN!! I loooove SRT-4's, and your skittle looks awesome. I've been tracking the market value of SRT-4's, and they are going up! I wanted a skittle really bad, but the wife said it wasn't big enough, so I got the Charger instead. There's so many go-fast mods for them. And the cool thing is that Mopar didn't neglect the SRT4 when it came to after market mods; their Stage 3 kits *rock*. They *still* haven't done anything like this for the Charger.

My Charger has been absolutely roasted by several SRT4's. It wasn't even close. I might as well have been going in reverse.

I hear that you need to feed your SRT4 a WRX STI every week to keep it healthy. Might wanna keep that in mind. ;)

I'd love to see a bunch of pictures of your car.... inside and out.

Yeah, people gave me some good advice for sure!

I'll make sure to try it!

You should have a got an SRT4 :faint:

Go fast mods on this car are sooo cheaaapp! lol

I'm at 1500$ in performance, and the car run 12.9-13.1 flat with street tires.

Here's my skittle :

Hi efnfast!

That's some REALLY good information you gave me, wow !!!

I'll try to find those polishes ... but i don't think we have them here ...

Do you think i could use some wool pad + PC + polishes ?

I buy from Nuvite from

Using the Cyclo Polisher

I've polished with Nuvite by hand and it comes out looking spectacular. The benefit of the cyclo and fleecewraps is that it can remove all the cut and grain marks in the metal, so it's absolutely flawless.

Of course the disadvantage is once you see what flawless polishing looks like, you get turned off from it because you realize how hard it is to keep it looking flawless (i.e., with no cut or grain marks - as soon as you try to touch it up by hand, bam, a mark.....granted, most people see these marks as normal, but when you see a piece of aluminum that's been properly done up, your opinion changes on what is normal and what isn't)

The trunk in my cobra used to be polished aluminum (until i realized how impossible it'd be to maintain and I just powdercoated it - there went 40rhs of work, lol)

All your shineys are belong to me - FFCobra.com - Factory Five Racing Discussion Forum

You can see the difference of unpolished (bkac of aluminum) to the polished

Resek- I know it is off-topic, but that it the first time I have seen pics of your car...VERY nice!!!!

Uncommon eventually replies. It sounds like he is buried with pm's all the time! If you post in the New England section (other forum), he might also respond sooner.

I polished mine via wetsanding and then handpolishing with Mothers billet polish.

Once you have it sanded correctly, the polishing takes no time at all. For reference, I started out with a CCA "Satin" finish cooler (relatively course finish as far as aluminum is concerned.) I polished the endtanks and painted the center satin black.

As others have said. Once you drive it, it is a pain to maintain. I hardly drove mine, and ended up polishing it after ever drive or wash to keep it near perfect.
