This is my second attempt to remove the swirls from my paint and I am very frustrated to say the least. I tried several methods and spent several hours and got nowhere. Here is what I am using
PC 7424
Megs Clay Bar
Poorboys SSR2.5, SSR1
Orange and White Pads
Cobra microfiber towels
Now here is a list of what I have tried with no success:
SSR 1 w/White Pad and PC speed 4-5
SSR 1 w/White Pad and PC speed 5-6
SSR 1 w/Orange Pad and PC speed 4-5
SSR 1 w/Orange Pad and PC speed 5-6
SSR 2.5 w/White Pad and PC speed 4-5
SSR 2.5 w/White Pad and PC speed 5-6
SSR 2.5 w/Orange Pad and PC speed 4-5
SSR 2.5 w/Orange Pad and PC speed 5-6
I have tried using less product and more product and usually work in sections of about 1.5 x 1.5 to 2 x 2. I have also tried applying more and less pressure on the PC.
I do have plenty of swirls, but they are no worse than some of the examples I have seen on these boards and people seem to have great success removing them.
So if anyone cares to send some info my way, any help and/or suggestions are greatly appreciated. (Should be noted this is a black car with GM paint)
