Need REALLY Simple Help/advice steps to detail

This board has been of great help to me but I am now trying to "do it right" and KEEP IT SIMPLE as i can for me- I was keyed terribly my pics are around this board-just got the car back entire drivers side repainted-baked etc- wont bore this bpard any more with this story-I just need to know to the simplest procedure-I have the Porter Cable 7424 with all new pads and Menzerna-Pinnacle Soverign- Vanilla Moose Wax & glaze and P21s. i really just need to know the process and this year I want to try claying. Please tell me where I am right or wrong-

a) wash & dry-I follow the intructions from other Autopians

b) menzerna

c) wax



where does the claying come in???? After the wasch and dry???

and also GLAZE??? is that the final extra step???



I have never clayed -someone sent me a great movie on how to do it-looks like i can an entire car in like 15 minutes(????)



then where does the glaze come in???

I really wanted it simple-

wash-dry-menzerna-wax-



Now as every spring HERE WE GO! the obsession hits....but I never seem to do it right- i also think the products are all good from cheapest to expensive- its all technique and mine stinks but i get an A for effort

so I would really appreciate if someone can just SIMPLY list the steps in order for me to follow-



also anyone use the Vanilla Moose? had it for a year - love their QD- bit the liquid wax and glaze seems so "thin"

Claying is very very usefull when it coems to polishing or just waxing. Using a clay bar on the car will remove all the sticky stuff that a normal wash will not remove. You can clay after a wash in a shaded area (so the lubrticant will nto dry up). I would suggest getting a ClayMagic clay bar from a local autozone (if one is present) or the Mothers clay bar (more expensive). Its really easy, just spray some lubricant on the car and move the clay back and forth. Make sure to keep the area lubricated.



The glaze is pretty much an extra step after the Polish but before the wax. I have not personally used, but plan to when i get the rest of my products.



If you have the clay and the glaze thjese would be your steps



Wash -> Clay bar -> wash -> polish -> IPA wipedown (Isopropyl alcohol) -> Glaze -> wax





Use the porter cable for the polish glaze and wax. SOmeone else cna explain to you on what pads to use because i havent tested out any yet.
 
Glaze is an optional product after polish/beforre wax which enhances shine/wetness and hides swirls. Most sealants cannot bond over most glazes, so only use carnauba waxes over glazes.

If at all IPA wipe down first. definatly not after polish.
 
Baked or not, don't wax the fresh paint for a few months or it won't achieve maximum (potential) hardness. Use 3M IHG or Meg's #3/#5/#7/#81/Deep Crystal #2 in the meantime.



The fresh paint part shouldn't need claying yet unless it got exposed to something unusual.
