Yeah, BlackCarAddict got it....In this case the QD is supposed to not just keep the car clean, but also to actually *enhance* the appearance. So I'd use something with wax/sealant/whatever in it.
I really like #34, go through gallons of the stuff. But for this one, I'd use a QD that adds some LSP-like stuff. Of the 6-8 I have on hand, I'd probably go with Clearkote's Quik Shine as a no-brainer choice since it works well on everything but you could always match the QD to the LSP (Crystal Mist, Sonus, lots of choices).
Yeah, I'm the guy who posted about #34 compromising the LSP. This happened when the LSP was almost shot anyhow, it seemed the #34 finished it off and I later decided that frequent use of #34 hastened its demise. I can't even remember which LSP I noticed this on...if memory serves it was Souveran on a white '87 VW, but it was a long time ago, at least a dozen years.
I got into a big "discussion" with Mike Phillips and a Meg's chemist over this...does #34 contain "alcohol"? Well no, technically the stuff in it is chemically similar/related to, but different from, "alcohol". OK...but to be honest, I was just a little :rolleyes about the hair-splitting definitions. But anyhow, if you don't have problems with #34 (apparently I'm not the only one who does) then keep using it and don't worry about my experiences with it.
I use #34 to remove polish/compound residues every time I polish, and to wipe down a car that may have gathered dust in the garage during multi-day details. I also use it for waterless cleaning in the garage and around the house. The only time I use any other QD is *very occasionally*, after washing, as a LSP-booster. For this, *for me*, other QDs fit the bill better than #34.
