Need new PC 7424 - best price right now

Need to order a new PC 7424 w/ counterweight. Who has the best price? Good and fast sources only.

CMA any discounts available on their kit?

Lowes - $109 for a 7336

Coastal Tool - $119 for their PC kit. Comes with 2 c.w.'s and a backing plate.



I don't think I've seen better prices than these.

I could not find Lowe's anywhere near St. Louis carrying the PC orbital - either model. Somewhere else on this site I saw a note that some are not carrying it anymore. Might be worth checking their website www.lowes.com for your area to see what they have going on.



I decided to get mine ($119 and it includes a 6" counterweight and backing pad) at Coastal Tool.

Thanks guys. I went to Coastal Tools's site and I think their ordering website is down. My local Lowes does not carry the 7424 :(. I will try Coastal a little later today.

Has anyone ever order their PC 7424 from Tyler Tools. They have the 6" 7424 with foam pad and wrench fro 129.95 which includes shipping.

If the 7424 is offered as a 6" does this imply the corresponding counterweight is included?

Edwin, you would want some 7336 series model, and not the 7424. Unless you want a 5" counterweight and that controversial white pad? :D



Personally I would just wait until Coastal fixes their page (hopefully soon) because there have been a couple threads where it has been shown that it really is a great buy (for you US folks) and I don't think shipping was that much. Lowes doesn't sell the 7424 model anyway.... (see Bret's post :up)
 
Just got mine from Coastal Tool with the Autopia discount of $115 + 7.50 shipping. It saves you 4 bucks but that is better than nothing. It is the 7424 with bonus kit that includes the velcro back plate and 6" counter weight.

Was is hard changing the counter-weight? How is the white supplied pad for light swirl removal?

Don't know the answer to either of those.



A) I haven't had the chance to actually use it yet. Just got it last week and we were out of town all weekend. I will try to change the weight tonight.



B) I won't know about the supplied pad. I got 6 pads from topoftheline.com (2 finishing, 2 polishing, 2 cutting).
 
Thanks again Schmo. I talked to Coastal this morning and they stated that the counterweight change is quite easy.
