Need new orbital polisher

When we moved from our old house to the new one, the movers stole my PC. Luckily they didn't get all my pads since they were in a different box, but they did get my 3.5" and 5.5" backing plates and my edge 2K adapter.

I keep reading on here that the new Groits polisher is better than the PC. I never had any issues with my PC though. I'm going to need to order new backing plates and a new edge 2k adapter.

Will the Groits work with these as well? I notice that they sell both a 3" and a 6" version?

Since I have so much money invested in pads, should I just get another PC and keep it under lock and key this time!

Thanks for the help,

Brian

What was their response? Did they say they were going to reimburse you?

No, my word against them. They finally stopped taking our calls and wouldn't talk to us. We filed a complaint with the BBB, but that is about worthless for me getting my stuff back.

Sorry to hear about the rip-off.

Having both the PC and the Griot's, I'd recommend you buy the latter. Oughta work great with the E2K adaptor, what with its greater power (yeah, same spindle/etc. as the PC so everything will fit).

Get the 6" mode. The 3" one is an overall smaller/different unit make for tight spots and small jobs. Nice, but not an overall solution type of machine.
