Need ideas to cover garage windows....

I have a row of windows in my garage door. Eight across at about 13' H /17' W (inches). I tinted the windows a 5% black and this works great during the day but at night the opposite takes into effect-I can't see out and the public can see in!



I've thought about spray painting the windows with Krylon black (permanent and maybe a PITA to remove) or tinfoil (cheap look and may not last) or drapes (custom made and $$)...... Last night I picked up a can of frost spray paint and may try that....... The bottom line here is when I'm tinkering around in my garage(mostly at night) I don't want my neighbors spying on me!

Also if you're worried about removal, try spraying it on thin clingy vinyl that you put up on the glass or even your existing tint.
 
I know exactly what you need. Go to any craft store or maybe even alot other places & ask for contact paper kids use it to cover thier school books etc.. They sell it in rolls and comes in diff colors & now ive seen they also make frosted ones. Similar to how a shower curtain looks with the diff lines it makes everything look blurry it wont cost more than $5 and if you ever decide to remove it, it simply peels right off. Perhaps the best place though to check 1st would be either a teachers store or a craft store, I think this would be exactly what you need. :up
 
Some of the people around here use inexpensive plastic blinds like the kind used for a patio sliding-glass door.



Some really creative people with time on their hands make display boxes and decorate them accodingly with the season or holiday.
 
He's looking to cover garage door windows. Therefore, window coverings and the like won't work. I lke the idea posted earlier. The frosted window film or paint (I like the film better). Shold work just fine. It will allow filtered light, and no one will be able to look inside.
 
I've heard of people using tin foil. Not too expensive :D



This person was low on cash, in college tho.



I like the Spray stuff better.
