I'm guessing this is one of those orbital polishers (10"?); if so, it really kinda depends on the paints condition. If it is slightly oxidized and/or you clayed the vehicle and you are using the mothers three step processes, I would start with terry bonnets (doubled up) over one of the foam bonnets for the pre-cleaner (step 1) application. These will give you a bit more bite. For removal, use two towels placed flat on the paint then center the polisher on the towels and remove the product as you did the application. For the next step (sealer glaze) repeat the process as outlined above using microfiber bonnets (over the foam bonnet) and towels. For the third step, I would recommend hand application using the canned carnuba wax instead of the liquid -- use a microfiber to apply in a small section then remove immediately, overlapping sections as you go working your way all around the car. Also the pre-cleaner does have a tendency to leave behind white stains on black textured plastic so taping these off might not be such a bad idea. Also, it's not a bad idea to dress all the plastic and rubber trim before you do the final waxing step. Hope this helps...
P.S. post some before and after pictures!!
