I tried 3m's performance finish on a costumers car, worked very well, but darn chemical wont come out of my css pads, on the bottle it says contains silicone, is this what is sticking to my pads, Ive tried soaking them, washing them with dawn nothing, degressear. Any ideas? :furious:

When getting bulletproof waxes out of the my applicators I just use Megs SDG in a 4:1 concentration after soaking in hot water for 20min. I spray, mush around and then set them chemical side down on my grit guard in the basin sink. Come back rinse under hot water and mine are good to dry.

I'm pretty sure burning them will work, but that might hamper the reusability.

I can usually get Megs APC to clean my pads. Soak in hot water 1oz/gallon for 20-30 min. No problems so far.

Maybe I need to soak them more

Good Idea!

I clean all my polishing, glazing and AIO pads with APC. The wax and sealant pads get SDG hot soak treatment I mentioned. Think of how concentrated the SDG is, it really gives me a good idea of the chemical resistance of a product when cleaning with SDG.
