need help; Mustang Mach 1

So I have an opportunity to correct some minor to medium swirls/marring on a fully restored Mach 1. Problem is, I've never worked on an older car such as this. Now, it was repainted and from what the owner told me "they went heavy on the clear". From my first impression I noticed no orange peel so it's been wet sanded. I'm not sure what the best attack is so any help would be great! What I have available to me is as follows;

BF poly clay with ONR as lube (I like this combo)
Griot's DA
Meg's M105/205
Meg's D300/301 (although I know I'm not going to use the 301)
BF gloss enhancing polish
BFWD
BF Midnight Sun
Lake Country Pads-Cyan, Crimson, Tangerine, Purple Foam Wool, Black, Blue
Meg's MF pads

Thanks in advance!

If it has been reshot with clear, then is similar to modern cars. Start less aggressively and do your test spot.

The clear should be thicker than new car factory. Factory clear is much thinner than hand sparyed. You should be fine. Go slow and like above start with mildest and go more agressive where needed. Good luck

Thanks for the tips, I guess I'm just nervous about taking on such a job. I know I can do it well, plus it's a big step for me toward making this a full time business.
