Need help - I'm bra-less!

Going out of state to purchase my new car and driving it back. No time to get a bra for the 450mile trip. Is there anything I can easily buy that will help protect the front bumper from nicks, rocks, road debris? Someone said spray wd40 on the bumper to keep bugs and crud off but I'm not sure if that is good for the paint. load a bunch of paste wax on the bumper??

What about that wrap I see on new cars, can you buy that or something thicker? I just need a temporary fix, maybe a cheap generic bra? It's an 03 Acura CL coupe. thnx.

I was in the same situation as you a couple years ago. Ended up at Target and bought a roll of clear contact paper (shelf liner). The stuff is very thick and not the easiest to work with, but unless you have a head on with a train, nothing is going to get through it.

I had to re-apply part of it once (make sure you wrap it up under the hood/bumper/fenders), but the stuff is cheap and does the job.

I had thought of that, but didn't realize they had clear. I thought of shipping tape too, but didn't want to mess up the paint work.

I guess I need to make sure the bumper is clean before I stick it on, I could even put something under it to cushion rocks a little.

Guess I'll need to buy scissors there too, can't take em on the plane.

thanks, I want to save the paint, esp on my first day owning it, it has 7000 miles and is mint.
