Hey guys. A couple days ago, my dog urinated on the back seat of my 2002 Honda Civic (cloth seats). Apparently, she must have done this just before she got out of the vehicle and I didn't see/smell anything. Well, it soaked into the cushion of the seat and the next morning it reeked. I've tried to clean it as much as I could, I exhausted almost a whole bottle of the Natures Miracle odor spray and my fiancee says it still reeks. I am thinking of buying a Dakota Odor Bomb to fix the problem, but not sure if this will work. Does anyone have any ideas on how to remove the smell?

I would remove the lower portion of the seat from the car, pretreat with an enzymatic cleaner, use a hot water extractor to pull out the cleaner and urine, allow to dry outside of the car, then spray with an odorban type chemical that kills germs.

Sorry to hear about the problem, sometimes this one can be a real PIA to sort out. Some sorta-random thoughts follow:
-There's a similar enzymatic product that supposedly works a lot better than the current version of Nature's Miracle. If you search on the latter, you oughta find it (the name escapes me). Or check your local carpet-cleaning supply store for some pro-strength stuff.
-If the urine soaked into the padding/cushions you might have to take the seat covering off to treat the area. Yeah, big chore. Maybe your local upholstery shop can do it cheap.
-Sometimes when urine soaks into certain synthetic materials, you can *NEVER* eradicate the odor 100%. BTDT, nothing ever solved it and the item in question went into the trash.

Enzyme cleaners work wonders for these types of problems. Just hope and pray that the urine didn't soak through the cover and into the seat padding. That's when it's a challenge. Definately get this remediated before it gets hot out. PeeYou.
