Need help deciding which kit to buy for my husband

Whew, okay, that's done with. I went with the Flex. Detailed Image had a whole package deal and I just bought it all, plus a few extra towels and things. Hubby better be excited about it! I'm sure he'll love it and whatever I didn't know to get he'll be able to add on later. Again, thanks to all of you for helping me make this decision. I never would have known about the Flex (hope he likes it) without your help!!

Thanks Again!!!

Autowife, please do reply back and tell him to sign up on this board and post questions if he has any issues or questions!

I've been having a hard time keeping my mouth shut about this website already! I want to tell him about it, but obviously can't until after Christmas, but I will be sure to let him know what a great site it is!!

Now, I just have to wait for Christmas! It's so rare that I can actually surprise him and he hasn't gotten any "big" Christmas gifts in a long time, so this is going to be great!!

Are you a stay at home person? lol make sure you get the box before he does!

Yes, I'm even a stay at home Mom! LOL! As long as it doesn't show up on Saturday, we should be ok. I thought about having it shipped to my parents house, but decided it was worth the risk.

I can't believe it, but I just got an email from Detailed Image that my package has shipped! Wow! I am impressed! That's only 30 minutes after I placed the order. Awesome.

Wow, that's impressive. You actually joined a forum to find out what your husband needed to get started and then bought it for him. You do realize this is an obsession... right? I mean we take care of our cars like many do their children. I can't count the hours I've spent rubbing fenders.

You get :2thumbs: a wiggle butt :dance topped with a :getdown dancin banana!!

Ok, I'm leavin' now!

Great selection, I am sure he will love it and be very surprised. Defiantly have him join up here after Christmas. He should get a kick out of this thread :)

I would also suggestion you have him show you how to use it and take if for a spin once to see what you actually got him :) (you might enjoy it just as much, you never know)

Great choice, now don't start complaning that he's spending to much time in the garage!!

I'll try to remember that! As long as every now and then he makes my Odyssey minivan look as nice as his s2k I'll try not to complain!

(and as far as taking it for a spin, did you mean the car or the Flex? Just kidding! I've actually only driven his car once, but I am nearly 7 months pregnant and can no longer fit behind the wheel of that little car, but once this baby comes I'm definitely going for a drive! And, yes, I will have to test out the Flex, maybe it will become my obsession, too!! :waxing: )

Strange, I usually try to check the site for updates, but no this is baby #4 for us! (Hence the need for my husband to have a fast, young looking car I suppose!!).

BUMP NEED UPDATE.

thanks

I know, Christmas morning came and went and I planned on updating everyone. I told my husband about this post and that he needs to get on and read it and join the forum!

He was really surprised, which is such a rare thing!!! He really liked how it looked and felt, thought that the different grip would be lots better than the one he'd been using from work and can't wait to go out and try everything. With work he hasn't had a chance yet to go play around with it! I told him that it's not just good for sports cars, but he could definitely give the minivan a good polish! He wasn't so sure about that, though!

Hopefully he will get a chance today to read these posts and see all I went through to get him a good Christmas surprise!!

Thanks again everyone for your help!!

Thanks to everyone for helping my wife out here. Now I just need a few more things:

- The weather to cooperate so I can actually wash the car

- Time to play with the new toy

- Education; I was using that oscillating PC with some weak, weak compound that couldn't do any damage if I had wanted it to. Now I have the feeling that I could probably take everything down to steel if I wanted.

Thanks again to everyone for their advice and help and thanks to my wife for all her effort and work to research and find the perfect gift!
