Need help after wet sanding? Please advise.

Gentlemen:

I just had my 04 White Maserati wet sanded. Long story short I had some cosmetic panels re sprayed, bumpers, etc. The finished product just glows.. I was blown away. A complete glass finish.

In the past I always used coats of Zaino and an Orbital. However, after a few washes and in a certain light at a certain angle in my garage from about 4 - 6 inches away I noticed some left over swirl marks? (granted I am a little nuts). They are not noticable from a foot or so.

Since the car was just wet sanded, polished and sealed, what is the best way to remove those swirls? Should I even touch the car this soon?

I was thinking of using my orbital, with a yellow pad and some Meguiars Swirl mark remover, then finishing with Zaino.

Will that work? Am I missing a step, do I have to re polish then seal?

Any and all tips, tricks and suggestions are appreciated. Thanks very much.

if you have to lay down to see the swirls on the paint, then you are being a little too neurotic, IMO. What is going to happen after 4 washes? Are you going to compound the car again?

but if you must, the swirls sound really light, therefore, something like megs 80 should take them out no problem with a yellow megs pad, or a white LC pad...no need to compound, just light polish them out....then you are going to have to re-seal it again as the polish will remove the protective coating.

So its noticeable from 4", whats next a magnifying glass? Its white, just live with it till the next polish.

Guys . . . off or on topic, if you had some 3m Fill n Glaze Pink, you woould know exactly how to loose those swirls. I'm down to drops in my bottle, so . . .if there is someone who still believes there is any 3m Fill n Glaze Pink available anywhere, in any quantity (galong, quarts, etc) please reply back, thanks! Best is my email: [email protected] . . . Michael

I would use whatever it is that you use to remove swirls... it doesnt matter whether or not it was painted and wet sanded. And the swirls sound to be very minor, so it shouldnt be a problem.
