Need Glass Towel Recommendation

I am pretty much settles on the 2 towel method for windows. I use the tight weave, short nap glass towel from ADS for the first pass. Then cobra mf ww glass towel for the final pass. The cobra mf ww for glass at 16x24 sucks. It's stiff and leaves streaks with it's stiff grid. I tried to give it a many chances but it disappoints.

Could you recommend a small soft ww for my final pass on windows? Is there another cobra towel that will suit better?

I actually prefere using Huck Surgical towels. They don't leave any lint and they also don't grab/cling like MF towels do.

I have been using the Viking polishing towels. These are a woven type towel used to remove polish rather than the ones with nap. I like them plus they are different than my other towels so easy to keep separate.

Having tried scads of different "glass towels", I still do my final passes with the polypropylene glass wipes from Griot's.

Those special paper towel-like box? I see them for 20 bucks a box on Griot. Is this where you get them?

I heard the Surgical towels dont absorb well. Hmmm. They may be just enough for my second pass...

I'm sure that all surgical huck towels are *NOT* created equal, but the ones a generous member here sent me didn't work for me. Note that these *did* work fine for him, so :nixweiss

I think it's the same material you find in those old restroom towels machines...can't say I've ever noticed a lack of absorption.

I use the two towel method. I start on the drivers side and do the inside glass first followed by the exterior. By this time my first towel is too damp and I grab a new one for the passenger’s side of the car. So really I use 3 towels to do a car, 4 on a larger SUV.

I've tried several MF glass towels and I just don't like they way they cling to the glass, some even leave behind tiny fibers.

anyone use the green "vroom" glass towels available at Target ??

I used them the first time with good results.... but after washing.... seems like they do the job, but you can see streaks by the 2nd day.............

Hey Rasky, where are you buying your Huck towels from?? They dont look anything like the one's I bought? I don't even touch glass with these! Thanks

+1 on the surgical huck for glass for the following reasons:

1. lint free

2. more of a "rough" texture to the towel and in my opinion a better "bite" into the gunk found on windows.

New out of the box they're absorbancy won't compare to a MF, WW or terry towel. After a few uses and washes the absorbancy of a surgical huck is okay at best. These were made more for wiping than absorbing hence the lint free quality.

I won't use huck towels on my paint (100% cotton terry towels only) but ok for door jambs, engine compartments, wheels, etc --- a lot less expensive than your WW, MF & terry towels.

I went ahead and ordered the PakShak WW and the Surgical Towels. Hopefully this will be my last investment for doing glass.

I've seen them at my local Harbor Freight, down the isle with their version of a car care section.
