I now have 2 light color, metal flake cars, one gold (Honda Odyssey) one pearl (Lexus GS300AWD). I am thinking more along the lines of a sealant than the carnuba I used on my black cars in the past. I am using up my Glanz wax and Metallic polish and looking at evaluating some new stuff. Just bought some FX Spraywax and like it alot. Seems to really shine nicely. Am thinking OTC Synwax might be a nice option. ALso, I hear loads about Zaino. I am looking for acceptable longevity, as I plan on using my Perls wash and FX Spray after washing, so no need for superhuman longevity. I do want good looks, heavy on the metal flake. I understand that surface prep is the key, and will put the effort into that. With that said, what would best work for looks on top of good prep.
My question, Has anyone used both Synwax and Zaino? I like what I've seen in writeups I've seen on both. I would appreciate some opinions on both. My concern on Zaino is the mixing, etc. If I can put that effort into prep and do something easy, like apply Synwax and get the same look, that will be my path. Additionally, I have some 845, which I will try when it gets warmer. I haven't tried it on a metal flake, just on the old black Audi.
Thanks, any feedback is appreciated!
