+1 For that recommendation, Gina was voted Detailer of the Year for 2006.

If you're going to pay for a $100 Detail, simply you'll get $100 worth of quality. $300 for a Full Detail is quite appropriate if you're a full professional. Proper Professionals in this industry:

- Bring a Quality Image of Detailing by means of professional business practices(Surface Reconditioning, Etc)

- Registered, Insured, are EPA Compliant

- Pay Taxes (LLC, Corp, Sole Proprietorship)

- Have reputable Certification or Training

- Have MSDS Sheets of all their products

"Professional Detailer" or just "Detailer" is a hugely overused, miscommunicated, and misunderstood term. I would recommend you ask the potential detailer:

- What products they use, and why they do certain processes.

- What is included in the service to meet your expectation.

If they are patient and seek to educate you, then that's a good starting point.

wow what can i say? here's a pic of my van, too bad you couldn't see the before pic. anyway did I get my $'s worth? I say yes and no. yes because if i'd have washed and waxed, vaccuumed and shampooed, buffed and whateverelse i probably would have done an equivalent or worse job and it would have cost me materials, purchase of a buffer , pads etc. and more time than i have. so, for a hundred i think its ok. as for my no reason, after seeing the pics of other peops cars on this site i dont think i got anythnig near that.

i dont know if my van's paint has the potential of what i see you guys are acomplishing. It's really amazing at how a real detail (as, like I said, I saw on theis website) can make a car look better than new.

well let me know what you all think of the $100 deal.

I cant seem to get my pics saved small enough to upload if you want to look at my ebay auction its: eBay Motors: Volkswagen : Bus/Vanagon (item 220105749150 end time May-03-07 18:04:56 PDT)

I think the 2 biggest things that really stands out are the carpet and the engine. It could have definately come out much better. Based on how it looks after the detail, I can tell it needed alot of work. Would spending an extra several $100's to get an Autopian level of cleaning pay off for your E-Bay auction, I would say no way. You got what you paid for and you got what you needed. Good luck on your auction.
