Tonight at dinner, my GF made a dis with Quinoa. (rice substitute) :angry: She's into healthy food.

So for those that know me, I like to eat, and again for those who know me, know that it's nearly impossible to keep my big mouth shut............

SHe proceeded to tell me the health benefits of the stuff as well as how high in protein it is.

Here is my dilemma.....

Do I explain the difference between plant protein and animal protein, or for harmony sake, keep my mouth shut?

when I got married my wife told me to always let her know if i didn't like a meal. well 22+ yrs later ,,,, I will still let her know but put it like this "Well it was alright,, but I think we can not have it again" or the always correct "Its a keeper!" sometimes I do ask if she was on crack when she made something,, but usually the kids will take care of that and i dont get to take the heat!LOLOL

You should have kept your mouth shut and kept eating!If you really hated it run to the bathroom and fake a vomit preferably after shes finished eating.:lol:
 
While I'm an unabased meat-eater, I will allow that some people do perfectly well with plant-based proteins (even some high-level strength athletes and bodybuilders). I'd look into the amino acid profile of the Quinoa and also (as with any carb), its glycemic index.
