Need a Polish Recommendation

The Prima Swirl I was going to use is definitely too old - wouldn't come back together so I need to get something new.

The machine: PC 7336

The pads: Uber or LC Hydro 5.5 inch, need to get some MF but still trying to figure out what works with my PC's backing plate.

The challenge: 1994 Jaguar XJS in Glacial White

Had one recommendation for D300 followed by Menz SF4000 for a vendor I trust.

See good things on here about Uno but the snippet for it on the website kinda turns me off for some reason (plus if I buy it and in two days they come out with something new and improved - d'oh)

Also wondering about the Wolf's polishes. I have some sprayable OPT hyper polish but would probably need the spray compound if I went that route plus I didn't have the results I wanted with the polish.

TIA for any input.

2 options:

*M105 wD300 as a lube.

*Wait for what's coming out from 3D. :eyebrows:

Regardless, get the Micro Fiber 5 inch cutting pads!!! :waxing:

Finally got around to measuring my backing plate and it was 4.5 inches so now I know I can use the 5 inch MF pads. Thanks David.

Also, why do you recommend the M105 and D300 combo - does the D300 not have enough go on it's own for this project?

D300 has great lubrication that when mixed with M105 (or M101 for that matter) extends the work time and keeps the dust to a minimum. M105 also cuts (and dusts) more, but after thinking a little more, you'll most likely be fine with D300 on it's own and doing an additional pass or two as needed. Don't think it's necessary to buy multiple cutting products for what you're working with.
