right now, my final polish after the finish has been compounded and polished is menzerna FPII. I am mainly using this step as purely polishing, not really cutting, just refining the finish...

should I get ultrafina, or stick with FPII. I really like FPII but only have 1/4 of the 16ozx bottle left..or what is another final polish I should look into...but not optimum as it takes way too long for me to use

What kind of polisher are you working with? Ultrafina has good ability to remove holograms if you are working with a rotary. It has a long working time and is very well lubricated...but how has FPII served you thus far?

I personally don't see any reason to switch from FPII. I've tried quite a few last step polishes (and like you, use them for polishing only, not cutting) - FPII is still the one I use most often. Sometimes I use 106ff, sometimes 1z hgp, sometimes ultrafina, but mostly FPII. :)

i've had nothing but good experience with ultrafina, it removed all of the fine swirls and left a hot, wetty looking on my nhbp. but i say stick with what works best for you because you're only going to get better at it.

If you are willing to wait a couple weeks, I just received a full decklid off a Jag from a chopshop and it has the works. I'll be testing the Prima line (Swirl and Finish) against Menzerna (IP and FP II / SIP and 106FF) to see which one works well and finishes the best even though I already have an idea lol

The panel will be divided in 3 to do the tests. I'll be using a PC for this one

yeah this bottle will last about another month from the way things are lining up...and the fact you dont need an insane amount of polish with FPII

Id stick with it FPII is one of my favorite finishing polishes

Like you I looked for a finishing polish with the least amount of cut. Got Menz 87MC which is the same as FP11.

Haha, alright. The SIP and 106FF might take awhile to test since I don't have any right now. Hoping to get a sample of it soon though :heelclick

Hoping to get the test within the next month so if anything, I'll do the low Menz stuff vs the Prima line. I'll do the higher Menz stuff when I get the materials :xyxthumbs
