I'll be going to Oregon next week, so rest assured I will bring back 1000 pics or more. :)

Nice pics man. Digital or analog on those photos? I like the long exposure time on the stream. I've always liked how that smooths the water out. If you are digital, I know it's in the beginning of this thread but I'm to lazy to go back, is it SLR with everything adjustable? I would love to have a traditional camera with manual everything, but it would be so convenient to have the same options on a digital model.

I have a Canon S2 IS digital. It's not an SLR, but close. You can manually adjust shutter speed, ISO, aperture, exposure compensation, flash intensity, etc...

All of the pics except the spider pic were taken with just the S2 and a couple filters...UV and polarizing. The spider pic was with a UV filter and Hoya +4 macro filter on top.

Wow you had some really cools pics on this thread. the one of the lake is breathtaking.

Incredible. Makes me hate living where there aren't mountains. Absolutely stunning to live around IMO.

Gary,

I am truly jealous...I too love the mountains and hope to one day return to my favorite place Estes Park, Colorado too view them once again.

It does have huge advantages living away from the big city. But then again, I sure miss the the big city things every now and then. There isnt even a Wal Mart ( im not complaining :) )within 150 miles.

Cool, I have a fascination with weather so I like that second one a lot. Orographic precipitation frozen in action! Unless it was just fog on the mountainside...
