Nattys...true or false

I could have swore when I first started reading posts at this site about a year ago (wow time flies) that you can apply Natty's and then leave it over night and remove it in the morning...is that true or false? I'm going to be detailing my F-150 over the next day and a half and want to get the best results I can. I washed it tonight and dried it off with a WW MF and then backed it into the garage to sit over night and when I'm detailing tomorrow to stay out of the weather here in Myrtle Beach, SC. It doesn't need to be clayed so Im gonna go right to SSR1 with a polishing pad and PC or go straight to PWC instead with a polishing pad, then go with EX with finishing pad and then layer it a couple times or more with Natty's. Does this sound good for black paint? Could I use Meguiars cleaner wax before SSR1 or would that be totally pointless? I didn't take before pics since it was 10pm and dark when I finally go around to washing so I will have after pics probably on Saturday or after my gf leaves. I will also post pics of my new Craftsman cabinet that I have all my detailing supplies stored in.
 
Well If I were you and had the stuff I would use PwC blue then hit it with Natty's Blue but spit shine it.

Chill your spray and gloss
mist a little on a MF/terry pad
mist a little on a pannel
apply Natty's blue
let sit for a min.
mist a little on the waxed area
remove and buff to extrem shine

Oh thats how you apply "spit shine" I always wonder what ya pepz are talking about. :LOLOL
 
I have left Natty's on over night but the threads you are talking about were for EX to be left on overnight;)
 
I have left Nattys (Not NATTYS BLUE) for 7hrs on my car and removed it with ease! (It may have been more difficult then a normal application but marginal!

on Edit: Now that I think about it .. When I left it on there for 7 hours I want to say that it was a 60* day in september and the car was parked in the garage! Perfect day for a detail!

dave that would depend on how hot it is, but it should dry to a haze before removal;) I usually do either half a vehicle or the whole vehicle before removal.
 
Chilling the S&G....what a great idea. I have always used chilled distilled water for my spit shine and just never thought of using S&G for this instead of water. I usually do a two layer spit shine with water after putting on sealents (24 hours after final sealent layer) and then do a thirs Natty's with an S&G removal. I need to do a full detail on my daughter's car and I will definatley give this a try.
 
Natty's is a pretty laid back wax. It doesn't have any one particular way it needs to be used, and it's quite flexible. I personally prefer waxes that you can apply to the whole car and then remove (although I've recently been using WOWO waxes a lot). I feel, and it may just be a psychological thing, that the longer you let a wax dry on a surface the better it bonds. I may be completely wrong, but what does it matter?
