nasty wheels & wax line?

should I be taking the wheels off the car to clean the rims better?

I've got an area near some trim that has wax on ... I used some q-tips to remove, but I can get it all off? any other suggestions?

you shouldn't be taking them off at every wash, but depending how anal you are, once every 2 months wouldn't be a bad idea.

the problem lies in the fact that it's hard to get all 4 wheels off the car at once to wash and dry them, so you have to spend the time doing each one separately.

every couple of months? damn, thats some serious cleaning!

would this option be included in a "full detail" if I were to just pay someone! I can see sludge/brake dust layers on the inside of the rims!

I try to keep mine as clean as possible, but since I've started doing my own tire rotations I've also set aside time to thoroughly clean the inside sidewall and wheel. I haven't considered anything beyond else - polishing, sealing, etc. - so it only adds about 30 minutes total to the process.
