hey guys. havent been doing much detailing with school and because of winter but I'm getting back into the groove for the summer ;) alrite well this is my grandmas car :wow: and i've been putting off doing it for a while lol. the inside hasnt been touched in over 10 years, either has the outside. I thought i'd use it as some good practice so i started with the interior.

Process:

Vacuum EVERYTHING (dustiest thing i've ever seen)

Vacuumed cleaned and extracted the matts.

Went over everything with a wet MF to get the dust up.

Took a detailing brush to every nook and cranny that was covered with dust.

Used this interior cleaner on all vinyl and leather.

Topped and protected with NXT protectant.

Well i have before an afters here. It looks 100x better in person but i'm the first to admit i didnt go all out with cleaning all the interior rug lining, maybe because she isnt paying me much and maybe because she honestly doesnt care how it looks. BUT here ya go

haha hell id buy it from her too! the inside is close to perfect BUT the outside has some problems :( the body rot would cost ~500 and up to replace im guessing + its showing up on the other side as well. The left side got lightly keyed. Its through the clear in most places but i was able to clean it up slightly with ssr2.5. and the wheels have soo much baked on brake dust that there is no recovering :(

but im guessing its going to sell for under 5k... atleast thats what i got it priced at online. she wasnt too happy about that ;)

guys i see this has alot of replies but no comments... im just wondering if theres no comments cause its bad?? or if its just not worth commenting on. if it looks bad i want to hear it

i personally think the interior looks great. for her needs you did a great job. have fun with the exterior.

A lot of click & brags get views but no comments. Sometimes a lot of that has to do with the make/model of the car more than anything. Detailing a pimp twin turbo M3 is going to get more replies than the best detail ever on a 15 year old Lexus.

That said I think you did an amazing job. The after of the center console (with the shifter) is particularly impressive - not a single spot of dust anywhere. You must have really worked hard to get it so spotless. Big thumbsup.

haha unfortunately yes :) i need ur guys opinion though. im just going to take ssr2.5 on a sonus orange to the whole thing an move on from there. BUT im debating whether to even bother... she isnt paying me anything, its going to continue to sit outside, and honestly she doesnt care what it looks like. So i don't know. I'd like the experience but im not quite sure what to do.

Well that's a judgment call. If you have the time and want the experience then go for it. Otherwise maybe do a one step deal to just liven the paint up some (SSR2 on a white, 80 on an orange, OP on an orange), hit it with a sealant and be on your way.
