Name the products that you buy again and again, and why

These are just some that I can think of

Gyeon CanCoat
Sonax Cut & Finish
Sonax Ex 04-06
Meguiar`s Hyper Wash
CarPro Reset
Poorboys Tornado Pad Cleaner
McKee`s 20/20 Cockpit Glass Cleaner
McKee`s Tire Coating
McKee`s N914
CarPro Ech20
CarPro Perl
Optimum ONR
Optimum Hyper Polish
Tuf Shine Tire Cleaner
Meguiar`s D143

What kinda longevity you get outta that, daily driver situation. Picked some up, so far used it once and liked it but no long term info.

Usually use TuffShine but that gets to be a pretty arduous process in winter.

Funny you mention this. I just decided to give this another go and change it up from the usual Perl on my dad`s tires. With no rain and daily driving I usually see about 6 weeks before it needs a fresh coat. His tires don`t take a tire coating very well but Perl, Gyeon Tire and anything else works fine and that is why I went back to them. I still think Perl looks better but does not last as long as Gyeon Tire.

Don`t have Gyeon Tire, but use PERL at 1:1 on tires (2 coats) to make them last about 3-4 weeks here. Weather has been very iffy last month or so.

I guess I`ll see how it holds up. I like TuffShine for sure but the initial cleaning can take many spray/scrub/rinse cycles which is kinda impractical in the winter.

Stuff lasts forever, though, more so on certain brands of tires; really seems to like Michelins for some reason. I`ll generally apply it twice or 3 times a year after a light, quick scrub.

First time I used the Gyeon a few weeks ago, it didn`t ?dry? very quick; gave it a bit of a light wipedown about 30 minutes later and was good to go. Is that normal or did I do something wrong/dumb?

I guess it depends on the weather. I would say you did fine.

This past weekend I let it sit for 20 minutes and then lightly wiped. Seems to be fine. Touched up the areas that looked to have absorbed more product.

Ahhh... THE LIST, the highly sought and ever so secretive list. You must first learn the secret handshake, found only in the Sorcerers 2nd Volume of Dark and Magical Detailing. You must also have been awarded the Crystal Orb of Golden Random Orbitals and Cashmere MicroFibers then become a Wax Waster of the First Order. Then and only then after years of practical application as an apprentence to one of the Twelve Master Detailers can one be considered for THE LIST. :)

Ah, so Ronkh and Detail512 ARE on THE LIST, as they are, indeed, Wax Wasters of the First (and Highest) Order.

Things I would not want to do without:
Metro-Vac Master Blaster 8 h.p. for drying
Opti Power Clean
ONR for clay lube
Pinnacle clay
Nextzett Plastik Reiniger (Plastic Deep Cleaner)
Swab-it`s 71-4501 foam swabs
Cobra 530 mf towels
Webril wipes (resembles a roll of paper towels, but soft cotton).
I might also include the VG ABC system. The "C-step" "wash" solution can serve as a general wash soap as well.

3 1/2 years later, curious if some of the stuff on people`s list still remains??

I kinda forgot about Poorboy`s.... used to have a bunch of their stuff. No real reason I stopped other than as time goes on and new products come out, I try other stuff. Poorboy`s made a lot lists on here. Anyone still using their stuff?

Adam’s blue shampoo
Adam’s wheel cleaner
Adam’s Tire and Rubber
Mother’s Back to Black waterless tire cleaner
Wolfgang Uber Rinseless

I know that this is an "older" thread and the lists of products by those Autopians might need updating, BUT as I stated within this thread in post #22, the other name for this thread subject is: "Your List of the Best/favorite Product(s) for Specific Detailing Tasks"

I really would like Autopians to continue posting their favorite car-care/detailing products that they have bought and used multiple times.
It is kind of like detailer extraordinaire Mike Phillips` admonishment, "Find something you like and use it often."
The more I see which of those products are listed by my fellow Autopians, the more I know that I should try them for myself.

Turtle Wax seal and shine, tw ice spray wax, tw extreem tire shine , Eagle One wipe And Shine, All Duragloss Products, Tuff Stuff uph. cleaner, ammonia and water for uph.cleaning, Meguiars interior detailer, Technitions choice Aqua Glow and anything els that I can find at the dollor store . as you can see I buy cheap stuff ,after all im just a poor guy that likes clean cars.

Meguiars Gold Class Shampoo
Pinnacle bodywork shampoo
Meguiars Hyper dressing
Griots perfecting cream
Griots 3 in 1 ceramic wax
Collinite 845 IW

Sonax & Menzerna compound and polish
Kamakazie Coating’s & 22Ple
PA spritzs & Kamakazie top coat

My original list from 3.5 years ago is still valid, but it should also have 845 on it. I have recently found that it is a good water spot remover.
Also I’d have to add any of the good Ceramic spray waxes to the list. Currently liking Ceramic Slam.

Wolgang uber & glaze, Griots 5.5`` pads, specailly the m/f ones. Megs gold wash & washless wash, Mothers ceramic wash, Griots 3-1 leather, Poly wax, T/W ceramic spray & detail spray.....3m clay bars & a few other products that I need to use as the shelf is packed....I just need to get going on using what I have before getting new products......Like the Wolfgang uber & polshes works so good, IDK why I have the Rupes polishes/compounds for...
