NAIAS (Detroit) 2012 meet, anyone?

They might confuse it for a bomb or anthrax if you do that. :painkiller: Just give me Jason's sample for safe keeping.

Charlie: Would you mind bringing me a sample and hiding it in the in the 3rd bush from the left of the main entrance?:pray1:

I'll absolutely bring you a sample too; we'll just have to figure out some way to get it to you that won't result in a visit to the Detroit Police headquarters. :chuckle:

If you guys do end up going on Sunday you gotta eat sometime in the day.... We should see if it's possible to get some grub together.

For my part that'll depend on what my uncle is up for; he's going to be driving in to Lansing from Grand Rapids, and I'm driving from here to Detroit and back. I know he's not going to want to get back too late so that he can get back home. If we can figure out something around lunch time that would probably be ideal.

That's really generous of you Charlie! I WAC actually trying to be funny but if you can spare it I would have a hard time passing up the offer!

Thanks man!

I understand about you possibly not being able to meet up for et considering the drive you have!

Tickets: check

People mover tokens: check

I'm a lot more excited to go to the show as compared to the past couple years. Has a lo to do with the current health of the industry vs the mess we just came out of!

I have a suggestion for those going on Sunday. I can pick you up in front of cobo for lunch so you don't have to repark, we can get some grub and chat and I can drop you guys back off to finish off the show.....

Let's get this planned fellas!

The lenghts people will go just to get a sample of Jesus Juice. :flame:

I'm in! Sounds like a great plan Jason.

Charlie - Any interest in me tagging along with you & your uncle if Marc doesn't go? You guys can park @ my house in Grosse Pointe which is literally 10 minutes away. I would be happy to drive as well.

Looks like my gf has me volunTOLD for Monday. I was lucky to get a pass too, so I save a few dollars (I'm not big ballin' Fermani/Charlie/DeepGloss!).

I'm down to meet for some grub at any point. I'm in Southfield, so I might be the closest one to getting to actual downtown.

Just let me know fellas!

I just wanna finally meet the toothbrush king!

Pm me your # and I will give you a call tomorrow to work out The details.

I'm thinking I will make the toothbrush king pick up at cobo. We can drive to the ren cen where I can park for free then take the people mover to Greek town.... Plenty of options there....

Thoughts?

It might just be better to post the details here. I remember that was 1/2 the challenge the last time we all tried meeting up. This way, there's no breakdown in the communication. And, anyone else that might stagger in on this thread and wants to partake can view it too.

Sounds like some good ideas here; I'll call my uncle tomorrow to see what his thoughts on all of this are and what he's up for. Finding something for lunch outside of COBO would probably work better for me anyway since I am on a gluten free/lactose free/etc. restricted diet. Not to mention the show is probably going to be absolutely packed and it would be good to get a break from the crowd.

I will let you guys know as soon as I figure out what will work best on my end.

In the meantime I'll just tease y'all with this:

Nice picture Charlie

Hope you and your uncle are able to do lunch with us!

Charlie - my wife and 2 kids are gluten/dairy free (ciliac). As soon as I told her about your allergies she started searching for acceptable places to eat Downtown and actually called this place:

Hockeytown Cafe'

They have GF/DF menu and from what I've heard is an awsome place! Something to consider.

Food there is Good....

If Charlie is able to go with us here's my suggestion:

- Marc and I meet you guys in front of Cobo

- Some of you hop in Marcs ride, some hop in my ride

- Go to Hockeytown cafe

- Grub

- Chat

- Drop you guys back off at Cobo

All we need to know is:

- Charlie are you and your uncle in?

- What time we want to meet in front of Cobo.

OK guys, game on! We're in.

Now, the remaining question is what time we want to meet; 12:00? 12:30? 1:00? Any time around lunch is fine by me.

BTW, if any of you haven't bought tickets my mom told me she got some free passes through work that we can use for Sunday -- David, did you already find one somewhere else?

Jason/Marc, I'll PM you guys my cell # as well just in case any plans change.

Talk about a crazy coincidence.... tell your wife I said thank you very much for checking into that; I really appreciate it more than you know!
