All About The Bling Bling
So how many of you think we'll be going to war with them? I think the nuke test will lead us into a war with them.

I think the US has it's hands full right now with Iraq and Afganistan. I think they will really try to use sanctions and pressure from the UN and China to get North Korea to behave rather than to explore the options of war. Just my opinion. Take it for what it's worth.

See i want to think that also. But, at one point we had our hands full with afganistan and trying to find bin laden. And then we focused our military power more on iraq and saddam. And N. korea is far more of a threat than iraq ever was IMO. Oh well, we'll see what happens

Yes, Korea is definitely a threat. BUT....do they have oil?

There have been reports that it my be nothing more than a fizzle instead of a nuclear explosion. China and Russia are reticent to impose severe sanctions. But something will be worked out in a diplomatic way. Korea want something other than recognition. It will be found out thru diplomatic endeavors.

China has a lot of clout when it comes to Korea. I think that when the Tiger(China) roars I think the Mouse(Korea) will listen.

Afganistan is still a mess. Iraq ia a disaster that's sucking billions of dollars from us. Our military is stretched to a potential breaking point. We already did that war thing with Korea years ago. I really think and hope that we don't have to fight another war,

i think that right now korea is really thinking about it twice because now japan has closed all imports and exports to them and its going to put a reall damper one them economically. i think the u.s. should push china and russia to really shut this guy down and stop trying to flex his "muscle"

Technically, we are still at war with N. Korea.

I don't see why no one can just get the hell along.
One big freaking planet, 100's of countries, and everyone fighting.
Wonder why people cannot leave well enough alone. Makes me want to move to a country you never hear about..........
Everyone wants to be King of the World.....

There is more to it, I know....I am just disappointed in alot of countries, and yes, unfortunatly, the USA as well.
Everything is getting out of hand, and years down the road, I can only imagine what my children will have to deal with........sad..........

I doubt there will be war with them. They're thumping their chest but we haven't been attacked or harmed. They are just thumbing their nose at us like Iran does. It's a pisser but nothing will come of it.

Exactly! And whats sad is its worse off now than it was 3 1/2 years ago. Its sad that we need to send more troops there after 3 1/2 years of fighting. And theres no exit plan in sight.

Currently being in Iraq right now on my third deployment, I can tell you that it's a lot better than it was before we arrived. I couldn't begin to tell you how much the quality of living has improved for these people over here. You can't believe everything you see on the news. Another thing you have to remember is that we aren't fighting regular forces. They are dressed as civilians or are children. They are hiding explosives in anything that will house them. They are shooting mortars into our bases and then running. There will be an exit plan when things over here are resolved. You can't expect a nation to be turned around into a few days. I have seen so many of the people over here thank us for what we are doing. I have also seen many of my brothers and sisters come to this base in need of immediate medical care. I will never forget the things I have seen in the last four months for the rest of my life. People younger than I, and I'm only 24, on their last breath because they decided to defend our freedom and also help those in need. Do I think all that we are doing is worth it? I can say in all honesty that I do. And I would do it all over again because I have seen first hand that we are making a difference.

I don't think that we'll be going to war with Korea. With the strategic placement of some of our aircraft, we have shown that we aren't going to let them do whatever they want to whoever they want. After seeing that, they backed down for a little bit. I think that Korea has too much to lose by going to war. I think that there will be a resolution before anything serious escalates.

Although I agree with you that the main military thrust is in Iraq, our troops are still very much active in Afganistan although it doesn't get as much press as Iraq. My brother-in-law just returned home from a 6 month tour of duty in Afganistan and now his wife, who is also in the military, has just been sent there for a 6 month tour. Our troops are still in quite a bit of danger in Afganistan as well.

i agree with jen i think that we have our hands full right now. and i dont really think that it is a HUGE threat

Hi everyone,

As mentioned before me - the Chinese are the bullly in the hood that will keep Kim from affecting us..."Kimmy" has some short range missiles - Russia, Japan and China have more to fear.

And Haliburton would have to compete with the Russian and China mafia to get the contracts to rebuild Korea...Dick Cheney and his goons are not that stupid.

Funny however, that "before" the Iraq invasion...Kimmy mentioned a nuclear exchange if invaded...we went into Iraq to find WMD...when a lunatic was taunting us? No WMD, no real plan - then after not finding the "alleged" WMD - ?

This isnt last call on a Saturday night at a club...we've sobered up, this isn't making any sense - it never did - even when I was wrecked and woke up with a coyote ugly girl.

I knawed my arm off not to wake her...

After I still wondered why we are in Iraq? Then I got me a Big Gulp and some Dolly Madison Zingers.

Then its time to shine some stuff....

The one thing to take note of is that Korea has one of the largest armies on Earth. Invading Iraq is like pushing around a school yard full of preschool girls when compared to Korea. Invading Korea would mean the loss of 10's of thousands of soldiers.

It's simply not going to happen.

For now i i don't think much about korea..I think Korea has been keeping a close eye on the U.S. and wonder if there will be a time when we'll come for them and there flexing there muslces..I don't know what there policy is with Iraq..i just hope they don't intend on supplying Iraq with nuclear weapons..Audiboy, i pray that you and the rest of the American troops come home safe/soon. God Bless you and the American Troops Who Serve..

No we won't go to war with Korea. My feeling is China will keep them in check. I'm more worried about Iran getting the nuke. Once they get it, they'll sell it to anyone with the money and we'll all be screwed. Live be the sword, die by the sword...
