Mysterious Spots

Our 2002 white Honda Accord has two dark (but difficult to detect) circles on the roof. They are near perfect circles about 4 in. in diameter and 2 to 4 in. from each other. This is the second time these "spots" have appeared. The first time was on the hood of the car. In both cases they have been the same size and appeared in pairs. Heavy rubbing with car wax seems to remove them.



The dealer's service dept. wasn't much help. Any ideas what might be causing them??
 
Aaaahhh! The crop circle phenomena moves to cars! Run for your lives!! :scared



Seriously, think about where you park your car. Maybe some oil or grease from your garage door is dripping down, ect.
 
That's funny. Your crop circle joke was the dealer's answer!



Seriously again...unfortunately, the car is kep outside with nothing over it but sky. I wouldn't be quite as baffled if they all weren't perfectly round and the same size. :nixweiss
 
This could be anything. My guess it that something was placed on the car at the factory or the dealer. It slightly stained the clearcoat but didn't damage it permanently - hence your ability to remove them.
