ok ron, don't leave a brotha hangin, how did it go? fast as your vette?

1/8 of mile track, so no way

temp inside the car when I got in was 110 degrees.

Got on track did like 3 laps under yellow to get used to it. THen went green. 1/2 lap went back to caution because of a disabled car on side of track. So did about 10 laps under yellow flag. Then 3 hot laps, then yellow again for another dead car. 10 more laps under yellow flag. THen green, 2 laps and it was HOT. So I'm going around track trying to get going and get some feel for the car and the heat started getting to me. My head was sweating so bad, it was dripping in my eyes. 2 more laps and they put some "pros" on the track w me. UHHHH. WTF is that.......... "Car 10 left and lift) that means move left and lift foot off gas so someone can pass. Well that happened a few more times and it was getting hard to see. So I bounce off the track. :(

Next time, I wear a sweat band too. And in December or January.

When I got into pit area they asked if I wanted some water and do it again. I took the water, but just couldn't get my head on straight.

Gives me new respect for nascar drivers.

Circles are a lot different than Lime Rock Park and Watkins Glen

next stop, vette at sebring . man, you get the mad props for doing it, but I couldn't handle all that heat for sure. i'll bet you were pretty heat exhausted and dehydrated afterwards. i'll take a vette with a/c anytime. :rockon

Whoa. Talk about a sauna session! I looked it up and it looks like the average Nascar driver loses 5-10 lbs per race.

That's what the pit boss said.

Actually I didn't pee from the moment I got there till 630 am today. So yeah I was dehydrated.

Looks like a blast, glad you got to do it.

Would they let you attach a GoPro inside the car if you wanted?
