I am wanting to play with some more products and do a few running tests. Since none of my other tests have gathered much attention..i figured I`d offer to let Autopia choose what I put on there. (of course I`ll have to have the product BUT if anyone just has something they want to see tested I am also up to trades for a small amount of that product if you happen to have it)

I have a 2006 Nissan Frontier 4 door (metallic pewter/grey ish color- not sure what its called)- paint is in stellar condition- just a smidge of micro marring here and there

I am currently rocking some LNR but wanting to switch it up as I have a few days off next week...figured I`d make this a suggestion thread


here`s the sections;
1- Hood (I plan to redo my Essence spray topper test that I have running on my SRT trunk lid right now)- but if you have a better idea, I`m all ears

2- Roof (I am going to use ESSENCE + PBL - because the roof gets the most abuse and I don`t like messing with it much)- so the roof is off limits unless you wanna suggest what to top that combo with (could easily do 4-6 products there)

3- driver side doors - thinking a spray test on the doors but not too sure

4- passenger side doors

5- driver side bed -

6- passenger side bed

7- tailgate (still rocking pbl v1 at 30 months actually)


I am up for AIO + wax combos

Sealant + Wax combos

Spray waxes/sealants



I probably wont start doing the LSPs until monday, but I`d like to have the vehicle stripped and potentially polished out before then.


note that I do not need ANY paint correction- just an AIO or finishing polish

Glazes welcomed too

(wash duty will be VIA SS&S or S&W only)

you can throw a final coat of 3oz. Midnight Sun Ivory Carnauba Paste Wax after the sealant cures, but honestly, the bfwd looks outstanding by itself.

I have never used TPS but I have some and I just read that it can be polished down and disappears to not have to be wiped off (like XMT AIO was/is) - interesting.. I like that
 
how about these ideas - Nattys Black vs Black Ice vs Supernatural vs Midnight Sun

EXP+ Nattys Red vs BFWDAFPP + Midnight Sun

PWS + Nattys (what?) vs TPS + Midnight Sun/or Black Ice

I will think a little more about this and post up some more combos once I go home and check out what I got (sometimes I forget)
 
I recently went through some AIO samples. The only one I can recommend without hesitation is Wolfgang Uber. It finishes down with such great gloss and is a breeze to work with. It was not finicky about the top coat, everything I tried looked good, especially sprays.
